Edited by: Stitcher on 17/05/2009 09:34:39 The overview has the ability to show the movement of other ships relative to you in radians/second. If you're flying a gunboat, memorize the tracking speed of your guns and have this mode active and visible on your overview.
EVE has sound
Containers do two things: they increase the effective size of your cargo hold (in that a 3,000m3 container can carry 3,900 m3 of stuff), and they hide your cargo from scans. Very few people are prepared to suicide gank a ship they don't know the contents of.
It's a Templar, an amarr fighter used by carriers.
having a corp-mate in an intecerceptor along for the ride can massively shorten the travel time for big, slow ships like freighters or an orca: once the ship's moving in the right direction, the interceptor webs them, immediately getting them "up to speed" and ready to warp. be careful to avoid concordokken.

I thought that was fixed in one of the recent patches? Have you tried this out recently?
Nope, this is still the case.
Another one:
If you aim for a cap stable setup for anything sub-bs, a combination of a capacitor battery and a cap recharger is more effective than two cap rechargers. You just need the grid to online the cap battery..
And yet another one:
Never use a jumpbridge with your mwd activated. Mwds change your mass, so you will use up much more fuel than normal.
And a final one:
Amarr/Gallente ships work well with projectile weapons. Especially the punisher, myrmidon, prophecy, dominix, but even on unconventional ships (dual repper solo pvp abaddon with a full rack of 800mm ac anyone?) ----------------------------------------------

If you have a big bulky battleship with tracking weapons (not missiles) and rats orbiting too fast around you to track them, pick one of them and approach it(if you aren't webbed). Because rats react slowly, after a while they will realize they are not in optimal orbit range and will fly straight away from you until they get the right orbit again. This reduces their angular speed to you and is a perfect opportunity to kill them with a few volleys. Make sure to do it quickly though because after a few seconds they will have a too high angular speed again.

When using warrior II's with good skills (drone nav iv/v), do NOT tell them to attack a webbed frigate (slower than 70m/s). They will hardly, if at all, hit it due to their orbit speed. It is much more effective for them to attack a fast moving ship, as this helps balance the transversal enough to the warriors.

1) You can 'repackage' most modules in order to make them stackable.
2) When you right-click in any cargo window, you get several options, including 'Stack all'. Use this in combination with hint 1 for better inventory management.
3) Keep your cargohold window open in a corner of your screen at all times, that way you'll have a greater chance of spotting early if you forgot to bring something with you.
4) Double-clicking on an empty spot in space will make your space ship flying in that direction.
5) Sometimes, the warp-in point for asteroid belts is pretty far from the actual asteroids. Bookmark an asteroid in this case.
6) When jetcan mining, bookmark your jetcan. That way you can return to it easily, and when you're done, you can just delete the bookmark.
7) You can come along on an L4-mission in a frigate, I have done that several times. It's a great way for an early player to make some cash with bounties and loot. Just make sure your fellow fleet mates take all the aggro, 'cause you won't last 10 seconds if they target you. And if you get targeted, get the hell out of there.
8) You can drag and drop the module icons on your HUD to organise them. However, this also changes their hotkeys.
9) Don't fall for scams. Think logically. Don't trust anyone unless you have a good reason or you can afford the loss.
10) Don't go into lowsec or nullsec with anything you can't afford to replace / don't want to lose. Also always check if your clone is up-to-date before you go into lowsec/nullsec. -----

The new feature is that CTRL now locks the overview, but ctrl+click to target.... man that is a really old one, it is so old that even dinosaurs used it.

You can hide your cargo in an Orca's Corp Hangar, since the Corp Hangar doesn't appear on ship scans.
Also, since containers do not hide the contents from a cargo scanner, you can make a small container with hundreds of bookmarks and small ammo in it to fill the scan results. Be gone before they dig through the list. And don't ever use Auto Pilot with expensive cargo. ----- I'm a collector! Want to trade? See my Collection List and contact me. |

Make a recycle bin: 0. Notice that many junk modules are worth more reprocessed into minerals instead of sold as a module. 1. In your main mission location, buy 2 Station Warehouses and label them "Reprocess Sorter" and "Ready to Reprocess". 2. As you mission, use your preferred method to decide which modules to keep/sell and which to reprocess. Some people reprocess everything but best-named, I made a spreadsheet with the modules' refined values and use that. As you identify them, place them in the Sorter can. 4. Stack All in the Sorter can, then view the can by icons. In future, go to the bottom of the list and then scroll up a notch, then dump everything into the can and Stack All. All the items that didn't match will still be at the bottom and you can move them out. Note that you can select many items by clicking on the first one, then Shift+Click on the last one. 5. Once a week, move all the items out of the Sorter can into the Ready can, then move one of each item type back to the Sorter can. 6. Haul your junk modules to market and then refine them to minerals and sell them (note that they a smaller as modules). If you don't have good standing at the station and the reprocess skills, ask a corp mate to refine for you. Use Sell Orders not quicksell. ----- I'm a collector! Want to trade? The filter doesn't really work for me. I have 1 high-slot left and I was thinking about using this to find a good weapon to fit in it using this.
When I turned the filter on, it did remove some weapons from the list but it still showed weapons that went way over the remaining cpu/grid..

This tbh.
Also, if you're out in 0.0 with a JF / safe route to high sec, keep an eye out for bargain contracts. Can make a lot of good profit moving stuff back from whence it came.

- Use the compare tool to compare stats of items. Variations tab > click 'Compare' button. (If you leave the tool open and click compare on a different type of item, all variations of the new item type will be added, like so.)
- In space, dragging items from a container to the cargohold icon next to your cap readout will deposit the items to your cargo
- If you want to join a new chat channel, you can just r-click the channels/mailing lists button and select 'add/remove'.
