Hi all,
The first qualifier has been done and the results page updated, Congratulations to Morkt Drakt and Feral for placing first and second. Please see http://myeve.eve-online.com/championship_caldari/qualifiers.asp for further information.
With regards to qualifier swaps, you will be emailed once your swap has been confirmed - as of writing this there is only one outstanding that has been emailed to us.
I would also like to bring attention to two community driven projects that are assisting with the race in one way or another.
The first one is Ivresse who has organised betting for the Qualifiers, more information can be found at his website Here and at This post.
The second is to EVE-Radio who have been providing updates via their streaming radio service - More information on EVE-Radio Here
The race page will be updated as each qualifier is completed along with the appropiate winners.
I've also seen a few of you asking for a global channel to sit in, I've just created CaldariRace ingame and assigned the approiate permissions. We'll use this from now on to provide results during a race and afterwards.
Thanks to those taken part so far - and good luck to the rest.

I'd rather not, personally. Helps keep the mystery up for the final race. Plus keeps people from cloning setups too much. If people see Crows (for example) are winning, the later quals will be full of them.
Congrats to the winners, and thanks for the update Nebulai. ---------------------------

is the 20 jumps a typo, all the info so far has stated 120-150 jumps I've been planning long haul templates not measly 20 jumps

Congratulations to Hasek and Rancid Mare for finishing first and second in tonights qualifier.
A more detailed news piece will be posted up tomorrow morning along with some interesting bits of information about a camp enroute which the racers had to deal with.

Yes it will be interesting to hear whether or not this was due to insider information/Polaris knowledge abuse as is the current rumour ...

Well, I want to ask this one question:
Is the race limited to caldari ships, or not?

I think you can use any ship you want. My suggestion: Crow with 1mn mwd II, 3 Overdrive 1's, 2 cap recharger IIs, and some lights wepaons or something. Focus on speed. -----------------------------------------------
