If you are willing to pay the price for a toon then let me know and I will set it up. I had hoped the analogy with a shop, in which one sees items displayed for prices and then exchange money equal to that price for the item, would clarify it for people. I had hoped this would be an experience people could relate to and use to help them understand the exchange. However, although I tried so hard, and got so far, in the end, it doesn't even matter. Doesn't really matter, as your posing as a retailer when in fact your really a used car salesman. Having dealt with many and i must say better salesman in the past I can see you have not researched your market place very well. 1. A great deal of the chars you have for sale are incomplete therefore won't appeal to those with extra isk top spend as they can with a bit of looking find a more complete char for around the same or less money. Those wiling to buy incomplete chars (lower skilled players looking to move to caps) will look for something cheaper. 2. You alienated a large portion of your market by letting everyone know you don't need money as you are a trillionare but are simply doing this to further pad your own wallet.\ 3. You are selling essentially selling 2nd hand goods albeit with some investment of your own to improve the original product (using the car yard analogy, you detailed them for maximum profit) 4. You have fixed prices are not prepared to negotiate.. You would probably see a much faster return on your investment by pricing them slightly lower than market value and or negotiate take a slightly smaller overall profit but still have more than enough to reinvest for your next venture.. If you can't make a sizable profit from this you shouldn't be in "futures trading"..
I'm not really up on the character bazaar but do earn my living buying and selling many different and varied goods. One thing i have found over the years, businesses who have fixed maximum profit pricing are always good to watch because you can pick up good bargains at their liquidation/bankrupcy sales

One thing i have found over the years, businesses who have fixed maximum profit pricing are always good to watch because you can pick up good bargains at their liquidation/bankrupcy sales 1. They are training as we speak. Obviously if I could choose to have more skillpoints on them then I would, failing that, I can but train. The less complete ones are priced lower to match their lower value. 2. Pad my wallet = make isk. Find a trader who doesn't try to get returns on his investment. Like wtf are you even trying to say there? If I said "please buy my toons, I need the isk to plex because my grandma is sick" the toons wouldn't be worth any more. 3. Yes, I'm selling second hand goods. That's because I bought them, and then resell them. What you have done here is described my activities. I'm not entirely sure how that added up as a criticism in your mind. 4. I have priced them at their value. If I wished to engage in the "I ask for 10% over, you offer 10% under, we settle at the price" dance then I would just mark up each of them 10% above what they are now. But I don't and fixed prices discourages random lowballers who can't actually afford what I have to sell.
By your own admission you know nothing about what happens here and a single glance at my stock would show that I am clearly very, very good at this. If we're disagreeing about something and you know nothing and I'm clearly doing very well at it then maybe it's not you who is right. Food for thought. |

Myszlinksi wrote:Charging so much more for a toon than it's worth is ridiculous. Characters have value. You're buying characters for less than what they are worth, which is scamming. Then you scam even more by trying to sell them for 10b more than they are worth. You should be banned for that since scamming the character bazaar is against CCP rules. Obviously there's some flux in markets what with inflation and all, so maybe a 1b difference (ie you can buy a 10b toon for 9b and it wouldn't be a scam). That way you could buy it and then sell for 11b and keep 1b profit after PLEX costs.
Also, you shouldn't be able to just flip toons. You should have to have them for at least 6 months or something before you can sell them, and you should also have to have used them for some certain amount of time during those 6 months before you're allowed to sell it.
And to stop monopolies like this (ie: someone buying all of one kind of character), CCP should seed the market with more. Maybe different amounts of unallocated SP, like 20m unallocated SP toons for 10b.
i haven't look at his prices in detail, but you sir are an idiot. plain and simple
what he is doing is very simple, he makes offers to buy a toon for a price, the fool that sell it to him, does it willing. Its not a scam, its a lack of educating himself with the value of a toon.
He then resell it for the real value.
and what is value. it changes over time. 2-3 months ago you could easly by 60-70m sp for like 15 or less, now most toons in every category have gone up by 5-7b
i used to buy 100m sp for lower than 30b and sell back for 35b, i now find it hard to buy a 100m sp toon for 35b and i have resold them for 45b
nothing he does is scamming or else he would be banned, becase the people who then get scammed would complain, overall if scamming is allowed, it would hurt ccp plex dealing, since more people iwll be a lot more cautions.
and overall to x atm092. Fxxk me, your rich. i knew people horderd character but you take it to a whole new level. keep up sthe good work.

ok now i have looked at the price. dude I agree with everyone else, you over price them by a **** ton.
to value a 43m sp at 18b, and you sold a 25m sp for 14b
you got to be kidding me, if i resell, i at most value it for 2-4b more than i paid for it.
you seem to have made up ur own value, you should relaly look at the market at say the average price for a 43m sp is about 4-5b less and thats only if its very well skilled.
a 25m sp would never sell for above 10b if ur lucky 8b, anyways ur toon for ur prices
but a true great fool who paid 14b for a 25m sp toon.
that cracked me up.
fyi. i am most likly very poor compared to u, sitting on just 200b which is chump change to some, but i come at an angle where ur selling crap toon for more isk than its worth in my view.
i however do hope u sell them, as it will give me a great lot of laughs to see people waste their isk, when better toons are selling for same price
Advise time- from one seller to another
i see the benfits of posting all ur toons here, but you should clearly have known theirs a lot of but hurt people out there that don't like to see others make isk, and the best way to resell is to not make it look like a resell, so no one causes drama.
you seem to not have understood that. now all u will get is people like people giving info on potential buyers if they become public and school them of how ur ripping them off.
you should have known better |
