Harbringer or Hurricane?
I can fit medium guns on both. I can also fly amarr and minmatar CS's but considering there costs one of the BC's would probably be more cost effective. I obviously won't be doing the harder wormholes. I just want to hit the fairly simple ones.
1)My problem is which BC? I'd like to be able to fit one salvager, probe launcher, and a hacking module. Not to mention being able to bring whatever stuff I can find there back in the cargo hold. Having enough DPS and tank to venture out there is definitely a plus. I fly smart enough that I'm generally going to be able to run away from anyone trying to kill me pvp wise so that's less of my concern. Besides if someone is out there set to gank me there is little chance I'm going to survive with a PVE fit anyway.
2)Putting on a gas cloud harvester might be an interesting option but I'm guessing I'd be better of with sleeper drops then gas harvesting in a BC isk-wise.
Anyone have any thoughts or setups?

Edited by: Durzel on 18/05/2009 20:21:19 Hurricane would probably be the more logical choice.
Harbinger, being Amarr, is more cap dependant and I'm not so sure you could sacrifice one of your (4) mids for a hacking module without comprimising your fit. Harby also has 8 high slots and 7 turret hardpoints, so you're going to be losing some potential DPS having a salvager and probe launcher fitted. I use a Harby in low-level WHs with 6 guns and it's reasonably effective, but I have to seriously micro-manage my AB, guns & repper - and Sleeper neuting (which does happen quite a bit) is annoying.
Hurricane on the other hand has 8 highs and only 6 turret slots so you can use max turret DPS and still have space for salvager & probe launcher. 'cane also has 125m3 more cargo capacity.
All things considered I'd go Hurricane if I were in your shoes.

Here's a theoretical setup for Harby I came up with. No idea if this is practical yet.
[Harbinger, WH] Damage Control II Amarr Navy Heat Sink Domination Medium Armor Repairer Domination Medium Armor Repairer Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Domination Stasis Webifier Domination 10MN Afterburner
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I Salvager I
Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Here's a Zealot setup I kinda adopted from battleclinics' "Zealot C3 WH" setup. [Zealot, WH copy 1] Amarr Navy Heat Sink Amarr Navy Heat Sink Capacitor Power Relay II Domination Medium Armor Repairer Domination Medium Armor Repairer Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
Domination Stasis Webifier Domination 10MN Afterburner Large Capacitor Battery II
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Salvager I Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I
Capacitor Control Circuit I Energy Burst Aerator I
Neither setup has been flown into a WH yet but there's no reason why both wont work, given my experience with Drake in a highsec WH.

I'm using something very similar to this.
DC II Heat Sink II x2 EANM II x2 MAR II
Cap Recharger II 10MN AB II Analyzer Codebreaker
Named Heavy Pulse x6 Core Probe Launcher I Salvager I
CCC x3
My gun-fu is weak, so it'll be a couple more weeks before I'm using Heavy Pulse II's, but my core skills are good so this is a cap stable setup for me with the MAR, AB, and all guns firing with Multispec charges.
A single repper is doing just fine in class 1 and 2 wormholes, I've been afraid to go into a class 3 yet :)
You do need to fly smart against more than 4 sleeper cruisers. 5+ really chews up the tank.

The Harb however got the advantage of no ammo (unless you use cap charges).

This is the reason I picked Amarr for my roaming ship. The only consumables are drones and faction/T2 crystals (and even if you break your crystals, you can keep a set of T1 to fall back on).
I can stay out in W-space until my cargo hold is full.

Just did an excursion into a C2 WH in the zealot fit posted above. 3 guns are enough to take down Sleeper BSes. Dual rep is also needed. Single rep works fine for cruiser packs (3 pack is fine, didnt have more than that), but BSes wrecked me on direct approach. So gotta be careful and keep the traversal up. I think it's doable with a single rep but dual allows for more slack.
