Edited by: ShadowDraqon on 19/05/2009 15:08:28 Why did you remove the old Gallente station interior?
Old gallente interior It had a billboard And a canyon And another billboard on a blimp And this holographic lady below the docking corridor
The sounds in it were good too, you could hear a faint bustle of people in the background, and occasional PA voices.
It was cool, visually pleasing, and most of all, it was Gallentean. Much more so than the current one, which feels like I've been shoved into an air vent.
The current one was in the classic graphics too, and it fits with some stations, like assembly plants. But the old one was better, much better, and had more of a Gallente feel to it.
Will you please bring it back? I have long wondered why you only brought one of them to premium graphics, and don't say to save time for the artists, while you go on about making the game as visually stunning as possible.
Everyone who agrees with me, please sign this thread.

Originally by: Savasta Except they probably didn't bring it up to premium for exactly this reason. And no it isn't hypocritical. Go look up the word in a dictionary. It costs money to make art assets for games, money CCP could(and does) spend on features higher up on the list of "stuff that needs to be done" to improve their game. This station interior isn't one of them.
Blah *edits* but i still think they're contradicting themselves with this.

Also, related subject: In the classic graphics Amarr interior you could see your hangar open up into a large open space on one end, which fit really with how the docking ports are on amarr stations. Now you just have walls.

Originally by: Hayaishi after reviewing the images provided, i may know why it isnt here anymore...
its too big. thats why, the resources used whils being in station is huge... no idea why, but maybe for a stability pov, they removed it.
The current gallente interior is pretty huge too. That means that soon they'll just stick us in some hole

Originally by: Technomagez There should be more diverse interiors in general.
Originally by: BlyTwo I think all the stations need a more interesting interior, and each station type needs a different interior.
Short version: We want more to look at when docked. (yes, WiS is coming but that doesn't count) Bring back the old gallente interior, and maybe add a new one for the other races?

An idea, for why park in a mall, not in a hangar:
For the view. Imagine going shopping and being able to see outside the window a massive behemoth of destruction.
But then again, i felt it was more of a terminal then a mall. You could see in the scrolling holographic text announcements of shuttles leaving. |
