you can also get to jita pretty quickly from at least a couple of lowsec entries, rancer most notably.
jump freighters don't get suicided not because it's more difficult to do so, but because they're usually empty coming back in, and they're usually gone before you can lock them in jita, also from amarr and rens, i'm not sure about oursulaert but i assume you can get to lowsec placid from there as well

FACT: these guys in niarja dont kill freighters they mostly kill badgers and shuttles , a stray ibis , really poor gankers at best , they lack the numbers to take anything big down
they are concorded more often then not.....
i know i live there and deal with them on a regular basis.....

So.. on page 2 you will find the truth.
Freighters in highsec are ALMOST not gankable. It can be done but usualy isnt because its MUCH easier to just gank the smaller ships and take their stuff. They are possibly the safest ship to be in, in a universe where you aren't safe anywhere.
