What I would really like to see is the ability to create a ship with already pre-loaded CCP ship parts and only CCP can upload these costomized ship parts aka models. (Which will eliminate any inapproate ship designs)
Not just to make your ship look better but also make a style of ship your comfortable with eg, Power, Speed, Agility, and Endurance at a balanced level which if this idea is implemented, CCP will balance it to there liking.
We really need a way to make a more appealing ship designs, cause some of the ships like Caldari are butt ugly, and the minatar omg *puke*
Also ship battles need to be overhauled BIG TIME! Its like going out to have a water gun fight with your friends but instead of using those super soakers you are using tiny pistol water gun with 4 feet range lol! I think I speak for everyone, battles need to have a WOW effect explosions!! Cool firing effects!! did I mention explosions? lol

you forgot to add lag and desync to the list of added benefits for added effects...besides any fights on any scale over a few individuals, well the general reflexe is to kill all effects to have a better response time.

Effects are client side not server side FYI. Server does not need to keep track of effects.

Also, if your computer can't handle High effects, simply turn them off.

What your suggesting exists, look up Tech 3 ships.

True, but I wont be able to fly that in about 169 days.
Just because you can change the parts of your ship does'nt mean it has to be super powerful, just for viewing pleasure, also creativity in some of the designs players can achieve. Building your own ship wont make the ship better if CCP decides to cool.
The whole point of building a ship would be to build it untill its appealing to you and you can show your work off in space.
