He didn't say T2 strip miners; he said T2 mining crystals.
1. There HAS to be a reason.
2. there is no affects-only-you-two bug.
3. The reason doesn't appear to be the character's skills (assuming they are all correctly displayed).
4. If it's not the skills, it has to be either the circumstances of the mining or the equipment.
5. The only relevant circumstances would be fleet/gang bonuses (and Orca, but that isn't relevant here). There are no other circumstances that would affect two different characters in two different ways.
6. The only equipment that would have an effect: mining upgrades, mining lasers, mining crystals, implants, ship bonuses (but those are tied to skills, so no good here), drones, and possibly boosters (i've never played with these so I don't know if there is one that applies).
7. If it is true that you are not using upgrades, drones, boosters, or implants and you are using the same laser types, then what is left? Mining Crystals
8. If you check and even that is the same, then some bit of information is not correct or has not been supplied, because there would appear to be no other options. See numbers 1 and 2.
There is one other possibility: you're friend is doing something you don't know about or has equipment you don't know about. Possibly he is in a fleet with someone else.
please let me know if i missed a set of circumstances/possible influences.
thanks for the reply Zezzix. everything i have supplied is right from his account. he is using no mining crystals, he has never bought one, when he was mining he was right next to me and he was not in a fleet. all of his skills are correct as we searched thru those together. he is using no drones and has no mining upgrades on. he has 2 cargo expanders, 2 strip miner I. its a simple lock onto veldspar concentrated and he gets 9155 in one cycle, when i do it i get 8477. it does not make sense :(

You said 8744 in your first post. Now you said 8477. Taking his Mining Foreman skill at 4, that is an 8% yield bonus when fleeted.
8477 * 1.08 = 9155.16
Which is what you say he is getting. So somehow it seems he is getting his Mining Foreman bonus.

There used to be a bug that would cause you to get your Mining Foreman bonuses if you were in a fleet by yourself. Maybe that bug has resurfaced with all the recent patches.

And I see I didn't read carefully that you were using T1 Strips, so there aren't any crystals. Well, that leaves the Mining Foreman bonus. That's that, right? |

Did the two of you, perhaps, form a fleet with each other? If it's not set up properly only one person would get the foreman bonus.

as an update to you all who has posted in this thread. Last night i joined a fleet with him to see what i would get with the mining foreman bonus from him.. I was in fact getting 9155. after the fleet dispanded he is now only getting the original amount that i stated i was getting at the start
so in the end it seems to have been a bug that was giving him the mining foreman bonus when he wasnt in a fleet and to his annoiance it has fixed its self!
