I have a small 1-player corp - just my main and an inexperienced CEO alt. My mainÆs personal standings with Caldari and Amarr isnÆt good (-2.5 or so), but IÆve been watching it, and know how to mitigate it via Diplomacy, skipping pertinent story-line missions, doing their Data Center missions and eventually working for not-so-hostile friends of these factions. However, my small corpÆs standings with them are both around -4.88 and dropping fast.
Q1: When my corp standings reach -5.0, will I be KOS for the sentry guns/police vessels of these factions, or will they only respond to -5.0 personal standings?
Q2: Will training Diplomacy on my inexperienced (Neutral to everyone) corp member (alt) raise my corp standings for these two factions? I think they must have negative standings to gain any personal benefit from Diplomacy, not so sure how it effects player corp standings.

1) Personal standings
2) Diplomacy and Connections have no effect on corp standings. Your corps's standings towards a corp/faction is the average of unmodified standings for members that have been in your corp for at least 7 days, members with a null standing (meaning no standing positive or negative) towards that corp/faction do not get factored in.

Player Corp standings are ONLY relevant for two three specific things :
* player corp -> NPC corp standings above +8.00 = all corp members get to place jumpclones in the stations with medbays of that NPC corp regardless of personal standings
* player corp -> NPC faction standings = enable placement of a highsec POS (over +5.00 for a 0.5 POS, +6.00 for 0.6 and +7.00 for 0.7 POS)
* player corp -> NPC faction standings above +0.50 = ability for the player corp to join the militia of that empire (even if some members would not qualify individually)
For everything else, Player Corp standings towards NPCs are completely and totally irrelevant.
