Open your overview settings, go to the tab where it lists the colour codes. See the bad security status and at war status? Right click, toggle blink. Done. -------------------------------------------------

The bigger issue is that outlaw status now overrides all standings.
This means, if you see a blue on the overview, who is also an outlaw, he will show as outlaw with flashing or red background and a skull icon (and for all practical purposes in 0.0 as neutral) but not as blue.
AFAIK, this can not be corrected in the overview settings, and even if it could, it would be a bad default. Nobody with sense would set up his overview like this!
Also, if this gets fixed, please make sure it behaves exactly the same way as before! This means, a blue outlaw was showing up with a blue "+" icon and a red flashing background. This is important for lowsec dwellers, so they know who of their friends are outlaws, which can be important for tactical decisions.
TL;DR: Just revert the overview to what it was like before the patch! The patch brought no improvement. Zero!
(and this is true not only for the overview, but also for all other changes since 1.2)

Not true, you can move them up and down to decide which one is more important to you and must be shown over the others.

I said, even if it can be configured, it's a bad default.

I'll agree it is a bad default, but it's fixable with only a few mouse clicks. So until CCP changes it back, you can fix your issue.

Edited by: Raimo on 24/05/2009 05:55:10 Agreed that it's a bad default and a bad change. At least revert outlaws back to blinky so everybody you can shoot are the same, differentiate with the icons. Also, if they respect the tradiotional use of the term "NRDS" what happened to the term "blinkies" (outlaws)? --- WOLFY is recruiting!

There is nothing wrong with the overview. Its just that you don't want to do it yourself. CCP doesn't configure the game for people how you want it the company default. Do it yourself and save your time you waste complaining to others about things your to lazy to fix yourself.
The overview is 100% changeable. You are just a troll. |

LOL who is the troll here?
IMHO when CCP do a bad change it's not trolling to voice it. Just make all shootables blinky and put positive standings before outlaws in the defaults and be done with it.
The problem is not that it's not easy to do by yourself, the problem is if your EVE installation ****s up AGAIN and you have one more thing that you have to remember when reinstalling... |
