We had a domi tackled earlier tonight. Multiple points/scrams/webs/etc. on him, and he was 11km off the gate. Suddenly, his ship vanished and he went off local. We had eyes in the next system over, and he didn't jump through. He wasn't on 360 scan after vanishing, and it's my understanding that if you have point/scram on someone and they drop link, they don't move. Also, no one saw him warp off, but rather he just disappeared.
So, anyone able to explain this? All I can figure is he had multiple warp core stabs on and for whatever reason, we didn't see him warp away. Otherwise, I'm at a loss.
Thoughts?

what he said.
Wonder how ccp will "fix" this one.
Easiest solution would be to have a 30 sec delay when logging off. Kind'a like when switching ships in station.

I was under the impression logging off doesn't save you if you're already tackled. Is this not the case?

ooo ooo instead of whining about this, why not talk to your avatar pilots and tell them to stop mining in belts? |

Normally that's true, however if they also then log on to another character on the same account then they disappear.

if he logged off, before you had any agression on him... he will dissappear after 30 secs.
what he prolly did: - jumped into you guys - logged off while he stil had gatecloak
- then his ships becomes visible - you aggro him, wich has no effect as he allready logged off.
i dont like this mechanics either, but its how it is :( however, there are some trick to still kill them. ________________________________________________

logged off ships do move.. aligning for e-warp and perhaps a tackler also bumped him. ________________________________________________
