Seriously CCP this should have been done a long time ago, and it shouldn't be a problem doing it.
Give me hotkey options for
Approach/Align to
Keep at Range
Orbit
I hate having to use time in combat moving my mouse cursor over the box with these buttons, more hotkeys equals more freedom and effectivity in combat. please do this asap

also, if anyone else has any ideas on hotkeys they would like feel free to add them in this thread

Seriously! no one else wants this but me? god you guys suck... If we get this we can spam i.e alt+a to approach instead of having to move the ****ing mouse over the aproach button

Maybe you need to clarify what your requesting better. Sounds like a reasonable request, but not sure what it is your requesting.
(Suggestion, this should probably be moved to the 'Features and Ideas Discussion' for better visibility/discussion.)

Would love to have such shortcuts too. It's very time and attention consuming to click an icon instead using shortcuts.
Additional idea: number drone groups internally (per default: group 1, group 2 and so on...). That way a hotkey group for launching drones would be possible.

Stuff like this is badly needed tbh. Also, several "keep at range" and "orbit" values (with different keys) would be very handy.

What I am talking about is the limited amount of mappable keys in the shortcut tab in the menu.
I want to be able to click on the hostile ship in the overview and at the same time mash i.e ctrl+a to approach... More of these hotkeys make the game more dynamic and easier to control

You'll get more macro farming bots with these changes :
- set overview so you only see the rats
- jump in a T1 Bs (fully insurred so you make profits when loosing it)
- warp in belt
- activate tank
- ctrl-click in the set overview
- orbit
- shoot 1 minute, reaload each 10 seconds
- ctrl-click in the overview
- shoot 1 minute, reaload each 10 seconds
- warp in next belt
...

Seriously (no joke this time), good idea. aproach, orbit and keep at range needs keybinds.
Automate programs/macros can move mouse too so thats not issue here.

For this, you have to double-click. Not in space, but on the hostile name in the overview.
A little off topic, but it amazes me how many people still use mouse to order drones around. This was the first shortcut I fell in love with: engage target. |
