Evol did have a scout with instas. Following or trying to follow the race. If they did know the exact route or not im not sure.
What didnt help was the Eve Radio DJ blurting out where the race was going and the fact that Evol used lag to their advantage by having some 30 ships at the last gate with LOTS of drones out.
I hope you are aware that the lag created was just about 0 right ? Drones hardly cause any lag anymore, and our 30 ships actually was more like 20. I had harldy any fps drop at all upon warping into that group just before you guys arrived.
Oh, and the route of these races isnt very hard to predict when one combines some info.

The reason why this was allowed to happen is that this race is not a question of just making 35 jumps as fast as you can only.
You need to look at that map while racing, see the blob, make a judgement call on wether or not to warp via a planet or not in that system with 40 people in local....
You get it ? The people that got thru were smart or lucky. Smart as in doing just what was needed or lucky as in having someone else jump a few seconds before them.
