I want to congratulate the two winners in the Kaalakiota Qualifier 1 round. It was a hell of a race you guys ran. It was definitely a fun experience for me and my first event on Eve , All exept the OMGWTF pawning I got at the end of the race by Evolution and RKK . Although I already knew the outcome of the race I wanted to finish, and for it I got a free one way trip back to Kisogo .
Thanks for all the fun and hope to do more of it soon. EVE Rocks!!! ______________________

Originally by: DB Preacher Congratulations to the winners of the event Hasek and Rancid Mare.
The Caldari Championships is not just a race but a combination of speed, surviveability and sexiness.
Those two proved beyond all doubt that they had what it takes to reach the next round.
When the race entered The Great Northern Warzone it was always going to come under-fire by warring factions.
It's 0.0 space. It's a warzone. It's hell.
Glad you enjoyed the heat.
P.S. Special props to the guy who finished in his pod after just wanting to actually finish. That kind of balls is what gets you places in this game. dbp
Who was the daredevil who completed the race in his pod ? I know I tried but got that one way ticket to my cloning center . ______________________

Well in my case, I did have a lot of lag when I warped in to the gank-fest but that was not the reason that they got me. I ran right smack in to a Megathron when coming out of warp and that blocked my path to the gate .
But honestly folks, it is not about the gank or the race. It was about participating in an Event that has some kind of storyline impact on the game.
Everyone knew the risks with being involved in a race in 0.0 and should have no complaints . If I could do it all over again I will, without hesitation .
Total loss:
Crow Intercepter Full set of +3 implants plus velocity implant and a new clone
REWARD Brand new shiny Ibis and a very enjoyable time. ______________________

I would like to know the final places also. As far as I know I was bringing in the rear with Jillian. Never made it to the last system. Pod was crushed at 3200km from the gate and next thing I knew I was in Kisogo ______________________

Yes.
Wether it was another racer that leaked the route info or *cough* the event organisers who did it I wouldn't like to say
What I believe actually happened was that the organisers located a system that was being blockaded in the first place before setting the final destination for the race. It`s more believable than a leak. Even if one of the racers did leak the location, there was no way they could have gotten so many ships together in such a short time. The race lasted about 30 minutes. ______________________

this: picture
was the view the competitors would have seen had they warped in at 20km.
(this was taken about 5 mins before people arrived, we had more people there when they did)
O no not again!!!! OMG, there were that many ships there?! Unfortunately I had a 15km view and all I saw was a big Megathron blocking my approach to the gate .
If anyone else have anymore screen shots please post it. ______________________
