Aneu Angellus Caldari Death Pain Suffering	Posted - 2009.05.24 19:47:00 - [1] So the amount of Titans now in the game is currently staggering... That is 11.690.000.000.000 isk - A huge amount to be sure But the point of this post is, the ability for certain alliances to now create such a devastating effect with a single button is far to overpowered. The ability to defend an entire system with two or three people and a single button... Titans need a huge nerf in the DD department, but a huge boost to make the cost relevant. My proposition is simply this> Doomsdays give the penalty of 15min of not being able to warp, jump or activate any module on your ship. Simply a Doomsday takes so much power from your ship it needs time to 'reboot' so to speak. Or Remove DDD's. Implement a new module known as a 'Mobile Starbase Shield Generator' - These items do exactly as it says on the tin, they create a POS bubble around the titan making all those inside it invulnerable. This can be used for multiple operations from taking down an enemy POS or a triage center on a large fleet fight. Simply, DD's need to be reworked, something needs to be done. Titans aren't actually that expensive by todays standards in Eve, isk/hour may still be the same but there is more isk in the game then there has ever been and it is getting worse all the time, making isk worth less with each passing moment.

Personally I would like to see them removed from the "standard" way of thinking and make them truly unique. Dreads are just oversized damage dealers (super-BS), Carriers are oversized Domis (RR/Drone damage), Moms are oversized Carriers ... only the Titan really stands out with no equivalent but they are still mostly e-peen. - Carriers are far too good for their cost. One easily makes up for three BS worth of ISK it represents. - Dreads are too limited in function for their cost. A big fat cannon, big whoop, lacks appeal outside POS borefare. - Motherships - about right for their cost, but still just oversized carriers. Rethink the damn things! - Titans are DD generators and mobile bridges, nothing more. Some good discussion in THIS thread (especially my contribution #22 ) There has been some threads posted in the appropriate forum down below (F&I / Game Dev), I'd suggest you go take a look for ideas.

A capital ship killer that might naturally reduce the high amount of capital ships in eve, so that we don't have "Capitals online". Give it 10x the dps of a siege dread (capital weapons) instead of the DD and some few extras, like an even better fleetbuff and immunity to nos or something like this.

However people where shouting nerf when they first came out, but then people found out how they can be killed, which hictors/dictors..So now alot of major fleet battles have a healthy amount of these ready just incase!...seems alot more riskier to use one... Titans should be REAL motherships..a ship that can carry a fleet, carriers, dreads with people in it..So you dock your dread and your clone with it..Transport to where you need to go.. Yes it should have a superweapon but i think in the form of having a huge amount of turrents/missile slots...and perhaps yes a DDD but less powerful. thats my two pence
