During the 199,999,999 contract frenzy, I got annoyed at all the invul ii contracts for 149k that were actually 149m. So as a social engineering test, I put 5 invul ii's on the market in jita for actually 149k and spammed them in local to see how long it would take for them to be accepted. First one took like 3-4 minutes because nobody believed it, then my contracts grew increasingly popular. Took a 6th invul ii, put it up for 149m, advertised it like the rest, and it was siezed by a greedy investor in about 4 seconds.

last night i was in jita doing the x10 scam
15 mins went by with no bites, 2 people start copying my scam exactly, down to the whole *Sent BogusNoob 10mill* word for word, i get ****ed and then smacktalk in local telling them to f*ck off my scam, move to recruitment and noob chat, no biters for 30 mins then suddenly my wallet starts flashing, the same guy just sent me 50 mill 3 times, i nearly fell off my chair loling, all in all the night i made about 350 mill...and 42 hatemails and a lovemail O.o

I think I actually saw that one time...funniest scam I've ever seen, and yet...people fall for it.
I once said "Your ISK, can I has?" for lols, then lord behold I see my wallet flashing...
Someone sent me 0.10 ISK. Yes, it was a bad "scam" that wasn't a scam, but now I'm .1 ISK richer.

Tried playing a trivia game in a trade hub once. Buy in was only 1 million isk. Nobody wanted to play though.
I did succesfully sell a 125mm prototype AC on the market for 250 million. Still losing Rifters without a care thanks to that one.

Dont know if it counts as a scam. But while in a goon fleet (this is my alt, my main is not in goon but an ally of theirs) that just lost half their ships i asked for 4mill to get a rifter, after about 10 sec my wallet flashed, i was up by 60mill.
only scam i have ever pulled off

Guy lends us (my corp) a few billion isk, never gets it back.
While later he's *****ing about having to move a bunch of stuff, we offer to do it if he lends us the isk for the freighter. Freighter gets "suicide ganked", all of the gankers alts who've not logged on in years (one of them my own that had a name similar to my own no less) Kill wound up on battleclinic somehow and is now used as proof that battleclinic is not actually linked to eve (the number of people who assume this is ridiculous tbh)
EDIT: Freighter had +5s, faction mods and faction ships including a nightmare in it.
So he's ****ed that his stuff blew up to some imaginary gankers, we've got his api and see he's still got like 800mil left over.
So we know a guy who builds JFs and has offered us a BPC free of charge because he feels sorry for this guy, we have all the materials except a freighter to build it. Build time is a month.
During that month we ask to borrow his myrmidon BPO, and some more isk to get guns to defend the pos at which the JF is being built.
Something like 15 bil total taken, and half of the time the scam started off like
Hey... I need money for....um....a carrier? It'll be a great investment and we'll make loads of money moving ships to nullsec and reselling them.
Wallet flashes.
KTHNX, I'll give you the profits in a month.
He eventualy got wise to us, after about 8 months. |

Cash cows are always fun to have around... Mine just dried up.. As I chatted with him over the months I actually got to like him, so im not going to name and shame (or give any details), but his isk is mine now. I have found a lot of people that I genuinely like while im scamming them. I always feel a little sad that they cant see past the scam and continue to chat with me afterwords. (Not said enough to give them their isk back)

One day months ago.. there was this fail pvper and he got ****d by a local Pvp group. This was all in Hagulir when it was actually worth your time to pew there. Soo after failing and dieing he contacted my local group and was going to hire us to fight the Griffin Guys. What he didnt know... and what we didnt tell him.. was that we were close blues. LOL... we faked an exqueor kill and told him we would cause a bil in dmg if he gave us 750 mil a week plus the decing fee. He almost gave us the money.. then someone tipped him offf. |

I did this, some industrialist was shouting in local about wanting a merc (not very smart there young man), so I offer my services. He's sceptical because of my age and 2 person corp but is soon convinved. I'm asked to gank a freighter in low sec, so I give a request for a fitted battleship (my mains domi fitting of choice) plus 200m per kill.
I faked 2 before he got wise, even then he didn't get too wise... he wants to accompany me on the third kill to be 100% sure... I'm trying still to convince him to gang up with me to do this.
I will then proceed to take him to low sec and kill him with my Helios ^ _^

I spent a few days in Jita on an alt seeing if I could get people to buy Vexors and Stabbers as Navy Issue Vexors and Fleet Issue Stabbers. With a couple hours of work I think I sold 5 or 6. Just go down the huge list in the most populated station starting conversations with everyone who is docked and saying something like:
"o/ I am moving out of Jita and trying to get rid of the last of my stuff... would you be interested in a Navy Issue Vexor or Fleet Issue Stabber?"
50 million for the Vexors and 70 million for the Stabbers. Anyone who asked for a contract I just blew off. Most people check the trade window and realize it's just a regular ship but that one in ten that doesn't look closely and pays you your price makes up for it easily. It's all about how quickly you can just spam through the list.

my worst scam attempts would be the courier contracts i set up to take random crap like marines to places like rancer with 10mil collateral. sometiems it works and the guy gets poped by pirates and sometiems they make it. but its mostly for teh lulz that i do it
