Lana Hellfury Minmatar Republic University	Posted - 2009.05.26 06:09:00 - [1] OK. Please post your worst attempt at scamming. Extra credit if you actualy managed to pull it off. I will start the ball rolling. I have attempted on 12 occasions now to sell a renamed Vexor as a Guardian Vexor. On all 12 occasions I had the person in the trade window before they worked it out. I have been so convinced that these were never going to work that I actually didn't reply to 1 person for 3 MONTHS, then one day in a drunken haze I happened to spy the email and replied.. I offered it for 3B isk and they happened to be online and said OK and flew half way across empire to collect it. I opened trade, offered the item and then almost immediately passed out.. When I woke up later on I found about half a page worth of tears.

I try to make up for such a short-coming by blowing people's **** up in lowsec. Well, to be honest, I haven't blown anything up in a couple of months either. I've been playing other games that caught my eye and just let my accounts endlessly train. I'm almost done though. I guess I just suck as a pirate. Thanks, now I hate myself.

He very quickly doubled the 1 isk I sent him. Standup guy. Is legit.

arambe fuddled	Posted - 2009.05.26 15:43:00 - [15] An obvious alt in local really really wanted to buy a medium POS tower. I had no medium POS, but that didn't stop me from trying to sell him one. I went around in circles with him for 30 minutes trying to figure out a way to get some money off him up front. I hadn't done any preparation for the scam, so he wasn't buying my story that it was anchored and I didn't want to unanchor it and move it to highsec unless I was sure he was good for the money. Eventually he started trying to pry for the location, when I wouldn't have any of that he linked a character in goonfleet and said that proved he was good for the money. I immediately started mocking him for trying to pose as goons, when I got a convo from the character he linked Since I still couldn't figure out how to get the money without a tower I just told him the deal was off because I didn't want to deal with goonswarm. He then started to emorage at me and told me he was going to personally buy the fuel for the goon capfleet and hunt me down to kill my POS. I don't know if he's still looking for my POS or not, but I wish him luck in his quest to find it

As i went to go police him, he was 40km off the warp in, and, thus, he warped away. I was all emo for a few, but then he docked at my station. I told him that there was a dread and bump ship waiting outside, and that i could cyno his ship out if he traded it to me. He did. I then sold his ship back to him (Above market price i must add)!

I tried to spam it for a couple of hours with no luck (but alot of fun people hating me and analysing my real life in local). I then decided to call it a night and log off. I posted the contract once in local, got mocked for being a scammer, felt stupid and logged off for a week. The next time I logged on I noticed my contracts flashing. I checked it and it turned out someone had bought the damage mod a day before the contract was supposed to expire. To this day I haven't been able to pull off anything remotely close to that. I blame the 999 scam epidemic for cleaning out all the isk from the stupid people before I could get to them

I did it one last time and I got a guy with it and he convoed me afterwards saying where were the other missiles, there was only one. I apologised and said it was my mistake and set another contract, this time for the "remaining 6" (there was only 1, of course). He accepted that, too. Scamming the same guy twice in a row with the same scam, with people in local shouting SCAM SCAM SCAM. --
