Anyone have ideas on an effective gate-camp busting gang? Like a small group with the mission of jumping, then annihilating a standard sized gate-camp. Would it be like a HIC, couple HACs, and a couple interceptors or something?

Highsec? Lowsec? 0.0? For simplicity, I'll assume they have at least one battleship in their gang... It depends on the consistency of the gate camp, but if you really want to win, then go with remote repping BSes with one designated as bait that goes in first to grab aggro and get the guns on your side. Might give him 2 warp disruptors or so and at least 1 ECCM.
After they agress him, he warp disrupts 2 of them, and the rest of the gang jumps in and warp disrupts the rest, while repping the bait ship. Easy win.
Make sure everyone has at least 1 ECCM of their appropriate race.
Dominixes are really good for this, as their DPS doesn't depend on their highslots, so they can remote rep or neut while still dealing decent dps if you have the sentry guns on your side.

First of all im going to assume you mean 0.0 gate-camps Second I'm assuming by 'normal size camp' you mean 20+ ships...
So... What to bring to the table? :P You'll have to figure out what sort of camp it is, if its a highly mobile gang of small ships it might be wise to use droneships and carriers for fighter support If it's a battleship or hac gang it might be wise to find out before enganging if its a sniperfleet or not etc.
All setups will require of you to have atleast some for of tackling in your fleet, so bring inty's, hictors, dictors, mobile bubbles etc. Also you need scouts in recons or cov.ops ships both to provide support, warp-in/outs etc
Thruth be told, there are a couple of hundred variables to this... no real recipe on how-to do it really.
But anyway, figuring your have to ask, I'm going to assume that you're not very experienced with this in the first place, so I recommend teaming up with someone who is for a while before going at it 'alone'.

Same thing like every combat situation in eve, bring at least twice their numbers, bigger ships and more ECM.
Point up what you can before they all warped off.

Probably need a fast, covops scout to jump around innocently looking for gate camp. When they find one, count the ships and types. Make sure you have more than this in your fleet. Check the corp and nearby systems.
Next send a bait ship with a good tank through the gate into the camp and wait for them all to attack.
Jump the rest of your fleet through and attack. Use a few light tacklers ships to get point/scram and also have a group of heavily tanked BS's to take over point and do the damage. When the BSs take over the light tacklers should disengage.
So, in summary...
-Fast Scout(s) -Bait ship(s) -Fast-lock tacklers -Heavy duty BS for DPS

Get a bait ship like a trimarked, plated megathron/armageddon/typhoon that jumps in and starts getting attacked.
Then, get a cyno frigate to warp in after the bait is engaged and drop a cyno. Jump some carriers through and RR the bait ship and warp in some other BS/HACs and waste the gate camp.

Yeah I had losec (presumably smaller) camps in mind, even meant to say that but forgot. I asked b/c yeah I'm inexperienced but think I've finally decided where to go skillwise, which is anti-pirate. Supposedly there are corps for this and figured busting gate-camps would be a frequent activity here.
Wanna fly a Hictor (Onyx) eventually even though I hear it's pretty mediocre. The way you guys describe busting a camp would certainly include a lot of losses so maybe I should just frigate it up a while, before throwing an Onyx in the mix.

I wouldn't call the Onyx mediocre. its a welcomed ship in fleets.

Uup and then wait a bit for a hotdrop.
