I agree. This effects newer players more than anyone. Losing a few hours for a vet is nothing, but to a newb it can be quite disheartening.
/me signs.

Yes but they are not playing the game as such. I DO disagree with it tho - if you can't train 2 characters at the same time without paying for another account - why should you be able to train a character without paying for ANY accounts? But it's hardly a justification for offline training.
Six hours of DT is VERY uncommon - and it's just bad luck that you didnt have a long skill training when it happened. But still, even for a noob, 6 hours isnt that much, i think ur meing a bit picky
And i really don't appreciate the comment 'you don't give a damn about the new players concerns anyway'. I like to think i care about noobs a little more than you're average person - noobs are the future of the game. Allowing offline training could wreak the game as loads of people would just sit and train up character and never log in for weeks.
But as keiron said - offline skill training is never gonna happen.

And besides - its not as if ur losing that much training because the server's broken - even if is like 2 hours.
Compare that 2 hours to a full year of training - hardly anything is it?
Besides i read this exact same post last week... http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=107319

Skills are not going to be queued, nor are they going to be selectable by web, it will not be possible to train two skills on 1 character for an account upgrade, nor will it be possible to train 2 skills on 1 account. All these things have been discussed long ago and rejected. The skill system is in place for a variety of reasons, ranging from immersion to exploitability prevention.
In short, any changes to the skill system that simplify training to the point that the game trains everything for you, or allows you to train more than 1 skill at a time are not going to happen.
Well it would be nice if I could get into the game to play it, but I have to settle for wasting time on these forums. And my skills are doing nothing...
If someone is paying I don't see why it is a bad idea to manage skills outside of it.
PS: Skill training is based on the server clock, which is why DT doesn't affect them. ____________ Sex / Rank 9 / SP: 1280 of 2304000
