edit: and mini typhoon would have a split 4/4 hardpoint just fyi. - In essence, any combat related activity involving damage has been 'speed nerfed' to just take 6 times longer with a predetermined outcome coined balance by CCP. |

Having 4/4 split is not versatility, its nerfed damage. The typhoon needs 6/6 tbh. *** You're only as good as your last fight. |

P.S. Most Caldari hybrid ships have range bonuses anyway.

My suggestions about a Tier3 BC
I think it it time for a EW BC.
Amarr TIER3
High slots: 6 Mid slots: 6 Low slots: 7 2 launcher hardpoints, 5 turret hardpoints Drone bandwidth: 75m3 Dronebay: 100m3
Battlecruiser Skill Bonus: 5% efficiency of tracking disruptors and 5% bonus to rate of fire medium energy turret per level.
Gallente TIER3
High slots: 6 Mid slots: 7 Low slots: 6 5 turret hardpoints Drone bandwidth: 125m3 Dronebay: 175m3
Battlecruiser Skill Bonus: 5% efficency of remote sensor dampener and 5% less capacitor for MWD fitting per level.
Minmatar TIER3
High slots: 8 Mid slots: 5 Low slots: 6 1 launcher hardpoints, 7 turret hardpoints Drone bandwidth: 50m3 Dronebay: 75m3

change the heavy assault bunous to an assault bonus (5% bonus damage to light missiles)
dont know if i like the unorthodox damage bonus in combination whith the drone damage... think it might be better with a more common ROF bonus

Meh, boring. I can't see anything sexy in the propositions. Now give us an energy transfer BC, or perhaps a smartbomb king (+500% bonus to smartbomb range for instance) and we'd be set.

no offense man, but the bonuses are LOL. No DPS bonus on the caldari? 3... yes 3 bonuses for minmatar while everyone else gets 2. Not to mention that all 3 of those are dps bonuses!!!!!

Don't we already have a khanid missile spewing/armor tanked T2 BC?
Please of please... if we get a new amarr BC, make it a laser ship using the harbinger hull. We really need just one good t2 laser ship that has 4 mid slots.

Caldari has the drake for tank, which is also full missiles.
there is also a ferox, this is full turrets,
so, why not take a minmatar approach and make a missile/rail hybrid? i think that would do nicely tbh.

What gives here?
#1 WRT Minmatar, 3 damage bonuses are to make up for split weapon systems. You only ever get to use 2 effectively.
#2 Caldari Hybrid boats rarely get damage bonuses (c.f. Rokh, Ferox, Moa), they get range bonuses.
#3 As already stated, even unbonused, hybrids do more damage than other weapon platforms.
#4 Having two tank bonuses is great if you want to run ganglinks and bait/FC in this ship.

I took the number of slots for Tier 3 ships by taking the Tier 2 BC and adding *one* more slot.

500% boost to smartbombs would result in low/null sec being killed off.... every pirate in eve would just sit there smartbombing gates all day. BAD IDEA

Fix tier 1 battlecruisers before even thinking about tier 3 tbh. And if this idea was put in: Amarr one would be insane
Minmatar one is stupid for the same reason the Typhoon is: who wants triple training time for same results? Also 3 bonuses? wtf? This'd either be trash or obscenely overpowered
Gallente: Good job obsoleting the other two.
Caldari: Yay, another pve ship. Just what they need.
And then you've got price issues. Tier 3 would put them only slightly below a t1 battleship.
And finally - really, the problem with tier 2 battlecruisers is with one exception (the Brutix) they obsoleted the tier 1s. You've basically gone and done the same thing. Really, did you even think about these or did you just wake up and think "lol needs another tier"?
Also, at Hayaishi - Missile/rail hybrid? NO. No No No. Split weapons = stupid, and more often than not are a hinderance than anything else.

This guy has the right idea. See the OP? That's finding an open nichT and designing a ship around it. Not bunging poorly thought out improved versions of existing ones in where they aren't needed.

I will probably die but: I was thinking about a Tier 3 BC with BS guns (like a pocket battleship). (Just hang in there a little longer). Now I am not thinking about 425mm Rails and Tachyon Beam lasers, only the smallest BS class turrets would be allowed (like dual 425mm AutoCannon).
The main idea is to get a realtiv fast ship (all have about the minmatar BC speed and maybe 4,5 AU warp) that can dish out some firepower but also dies faster.
Problem would be to balance it all out with the other BCs (donŠt need too fast bcs, supertank/gank).
