I know from past threads that we have quite a few older (RL) players in EVE. Believe I read that average subscriber age is 28. Just hit 41 myself this past week.
Got me wondering what playstyle the over 35 crowd enjoys in EVE.
Do you consider yourself:
1) Almost exclusively a carebear.
2) Mostly a carebear.
3) A PVEer with teeth or a PVPer with dentures.
4) Mostly a PVPer.
5) Almost exclusively a PVPer.
So semantics are out of the way: using term "care bear" to mean someone who does not enjoy player ship combat. Using term "PVPer" to mean players that enjoy player ship combat and excluding all the other PVP elements of the game (trading, etc.).

I must admit, by your definitions, (2). It's been more like (3) for a while, but being out of Sov (low/0.0) action, I am mostly having a quite relax gaming style.
Oh, and Happy Birthday!

I hit 39 in April! I was wondering if there were others that were older. I'm glad to see there are! 
I spent nearly my first two years in 0.0, now I'm pretty much exclusively carebear... The 0.0 politics got to be a bit tardlike... 
Interestingly enough, I don't see myself quitting eve in the foreseeable future either... It's a great waste of time!

36 here and the character I am playing now is mostly into mining and running LVL1 and possibly LVL2 missions looking for mining areas. Will be starting an ALT soon that will be mostly PVP if I find I have the talent for it.

It was either internet spaceships or doing crosswords to hedge my bets against alzheimer's and dementia.
This is more fun.
I try to school the young'uns but, as often as not, they school me. That's part of the fun.

You left one out-
6) Pirate. It's a whole level of PVP all by itself. 
And yeah, 36 and pirate. Most of the guys in my crew are in their late twenties, but we have quite a few guys in their early/mid 30s. A few older than that as well.

43 I am a carebear I don't have the skills to pvp at this point and I don't see the reasoning in handing my isk to other players with out at least a chance to take thiers.

Well, I'll be one year short of 35 in Sept, but I figure I'm close enough.
Right at the moment I have two active accounts but I'm taking a break from EVE for a while, if not permanently, since I've been playing for 5+ years. But when I do play actively, I'm pretty evenly split on PVP and Industrial type stuff between the two accounts, whatever my mood is. I've never been able to run missions long enough to really say I have done PVE, their just so bloody boring.
The cool thing is that I'm pretty well setup in my career IRL, so I can afford to keep both my accounts going even if I'm not playing.

47... and started in an 0.0 corp, so always some pvp. but due to connection issues I do a lot of carbear stuff for the corp. Also fly cov ops a lot, get in a bs if needed. Whatever.

I'm #5 very definitely. Unlike pirates who do it for money, I do it for sport.
If it wasn't for the awesome PvP found in EVE I'd be out of here because the rest of the game bores me to tears. And no, you will not have my stuff if I do leave eventually

Well 55 years old and heading for 56 in August. Still a youngster here on EVE, working my way to #5, tho quite a ways off yet. Enjoy the game tremendously...

41, been playing 6+ years.
Done most things in game and now chilling in nullsec with pure pvp. Best and most relaxing time I have had in EVE. |

31 going on 32, and I'd probably say the closest is door #3 if you're talking the traditional sense.
But if you also include market PVP, then it's more of a "door #4" scenario.
And if you include the forum PVP, you need a whole new "door #6" option
