G'day all,
I'm writing out of last resort and frustration.
I was contacted by a Goon member (confirmed they are the real Goon) about renting a system in the Deklein region.
I followed the conversation and another member joined to give me additional information, System location, Moon minerals ect.
After enough information had passed and I felt it was a reasonable investment to move to the rented system I paid the Bill.
While the Bill was no chump-change I paid in good faith of the name of Goon.
24hrs ago they organized a time and place for the asset move to our rented system. I have been patient and waited 5hrs past the time of arrangement. Not a single mail, or contact, either players have been online, nor can I get in contact with any goon member.
Have I been scammed? I hope I'm just being impatient to move to this system and having the deposit down just makes me all the more eager/concerned.

If the payment didnGÇÖt go through itGÇÖs a glitch and it bounces back to your wallet within one week. I would recommend that you pay double the fee now so it forces the payment through and then wait a week for the extra isk to get returnedGǪ

So it turns out everything was legit and Goon have been very professional with sorting out a communication error. Was a slight issue where by the information had not yet been processed. |

This is email is confirmed, however I'd like to clarify,
I have spoken with a Director of the member that was selling the system and they confirm that their corporation do not have the ability to sell a system and that they do tolerate scam-mers in their corporation. Since this I have spoken with an authorized member of the Goon Alliance authorized to sell systems and they inform me they have my assets and are returning them due to an incorrect deal being made. fingers crossed :D
I do not hold Goon responsible for the actions of one member. |

I wish this was the case. Turns out that no one in the Goonwaffe or Federation can be trusted. Turns out the guy that contacted me saying he was going to return my assets from your "finance" department was also in on the scam. |

Everyone knows it's a brutal universe out there. Research and a little MMO street smarts would have saved you, but hopefully you learned more than just "don't trust GSF". If that's all you take away from this, you are doomed to be a mark again for someone else. You should never blindly trust someone who you don't know personally. That is my policy since UO and it hasn't failed me yet. I learned mine to the tune of 300gold for a "full spellbook" while your's was 1.7 Billion.
Hopefully this does not completely sour the experience for you, but if you collected those resources before I'm sure you'll be back on your feet in no time. |

:/ Like most larger 0.0 alliances, we don't have a finance department. I don't know the person to whom you spoke, but I can guarantee that we'll be looking into this internally.
