As far as I'm aware, the next expansion is a myth.
Some people say next expansion is this summer. Some says that it's this winter. Some say that WiS is next expansion. Some say that it's for the winter. Some say it's 0.0 mechanics next. Some say it will be in the winter.
Care o give any clue as for when we will know more? At this point, I could swear that you guys have done nothing but drinking beer the last few months!

Eris i love you. This is one of the few times something got outright denied for an expansion. Thats what we need, this way there's no overhype and no failed expectations afterward.

after alot of thought i'm not sure why this wouldn't be coming out. there seems to be something really weird going on with CCP. like tech 3 for example was not finished when it first came onto the test server 2 weeks before launch and it seemed like a real scramble to get things done.
after the expansion came out CCP came onto the forums seemingly trying to engage the userbase to fix balance problems, yet feedback is given and CCP does not update us. it seems like CCP does not communicate well, procrastinates, and scrambles at the last minute to finish projects. this can't be good |

I think after the recent dev blog showing caldari/gallente being sucky... a boost for them.. with minor things for other races...
caldari
- a 30% increase in missile velocity

In interviews and articles, CCP stated that ambulation would be released "late 2009". I have to say that I'm rather disapointed to hear that it will not. By all means, if it's not done, don't release it.
I realize this is a perfect example of why CCP does not declare what will be in the next expansion early, but I don't think it's too much to ask to get the In Testing and In Developoment areas of the website updated more often.
In the mean time, can we get some sort of clue about what MIGHT be in the next expansion?

Eris has already said in another thread: Ambulation is still being worked on and will be released when it is finished, it has not been droped.
Personaly I think it will be released Mid summer 2010 but then apparently it was scheduled for 2008 originaly who knows but we are assured it will be released. Soon.

It will propably release in march 2010, if my sources are correct. But then again, who can really tell. Apparently a dev confessed during the fanfest, that it was originally planned for 2003, but that they decided to do a internet spaceship game instead.

My team is preparing a couple dev blogs for release in the next few weeks that should shed a little light on what to expect in the coming months.

I don't know about hunger and peace, but acording to the last QEN, they are already working on the economic crisis: Quote:

It has not been said that ambulation would not be released "late 2009". Just not in the next expansion. It could be that we have three expansions this year. :)

As for what won't make it in... hmm, ambulation MIGHT just make it in, so I'm taking that down the short list of the OP and putting "user interface improvements" instead.
Obama seems to have economic crisis solved in my neck of the woods... world peace is forthcoming if most of humanity would freaking understand they aren't that unique or different from each other and have the same basic needs (they just factor in religion and things go to hell) and hunger would be easily fixed too if people would share. |
