Can anyone explain to me why some tech2 turrets take extra grid, and others dont?
Example?
Light ion blaster I = 6 grid Light ion blaster II = 6 grid Light Neutron blaster I = 12 grid Light Neutron blaster II = 13 grid
???? The skill requirements are rather high, for next to no benifit at all on the neutrons imo.

indeed, it makes no sense whatsoever that some of the T2 guns have a grid Req increase and others do not. Either make all the Tech II guns +1 grid, or take 1 grid away from the guns that have greater power req than T1. ---

my understanding is that its done by % increase, so small pg wont show an increase. Im not sure whether pg has unseen decimal places like attribute points do, but its probly taken into considoration somewhere. |

Well maybe CCP should come up with a better solution, cause it basicly means: Gimped setup and use neuts, uber setup and use ions, either gimp em both or ungimp neuts tbh.

Good thing some more people are noticing. Tech2 having more PG/CPU use would make sense if there were advanced engineering/electronic skills, unfortunately those are going to be released with shiva.

On a similar note for some strange reason the small artillery pieces get a bonus to tracking whilst the larger guns do not.

Pointless, the difference in damage comes from the resists on armor and shield VS no resist on the Canister and next time try a Modal for your comparisons, on the other hand, the only good point for tech 2 guns is the specialisation skill that can give 10% more dmg at lvl5...

well tbh, u dno if thats armor, and u could find out the base hits on what their hitting by dividing by three, then add resistances to see what your armor hit would be on the t2 neutron.
btw hi2u geno and meri :> u both r liek interceptor weenors

Thought i would post a few figures to show how the situation is, using my skills, a few average figures.
Modal Neutron fitted to a taranis with my skills = 2476.08dmg/min - 36 grid used just on weps to fit 3
Ion blaster II on a taranis with my skills = 2463.37dmg/min - 18 grid used on weps to fit 3
Ion blaster II on a taranis with my skills + tech2 dmg mod = 3076.92dmg/min - 19 grid used on weps to fit 3
Neutron blaster II on a taranis with my skills = 2623.84dmg/min - 39 grid used just on weps to fit 3
Neutron blaster II on a taranis with my skills + tech2 dmg mod = 3228.58dmg/min - 40 grid used just on weps to fit 3
Sick damage idd, but can you see my point? Neutrons have about as much going for them as a executioner has in the EW department. 2004.08.22 21:03:00 combat Your Anode Light Neutron Particle Cannon I perfectly strikes callonious [BSC], wrecking for 236.9 damage. |

Concerning the grid differences:
The mega pulse laser laser I and II have a grid difference of 250. Dark Blood version has the same grid as a tech2 version. Basically, the dark blood is a modulated tech2 gun in my opinion. The difference in a real t2 gun is ofcourse the advanced ammo that'll be released soon. -------

I dont mean to hurt your sales or anything Kab, and thanks again for the neutrons. But as it stands neutrons are gimped beyond use, i hope for both our sakes that tech2 ammo solves that ;) 2004.08.22 21:03:00 combat Your Anode Light Neutron Particle Cannon I perfectly strikes callonious [BSC], wrecking for 236.9 damage. |

ok..maybe a stupid ques... but is this the dmg output of 3 blasters, or just one per minute? -and offhand, whats the rof you get on a blaster (t1 or t2) on a taranis.. just curious..

Thats the damage output of just 1 blaster, and off the top of my head the tech2 ions with dmg mod rof is 1.56secs, and neutrons without damage mods are around 2secs.
