I do not want advice from people just guessing, please be constructive.
Our corp is growing to the point that we are about to change from a small family owned corp into a three times as big corp with less familiar players. I am interested enough in this change to go through a great deal of pain to have it set up. Being an engineer in real life, I want it researched and thought through. Without giving too much sensitive information I'd like to know what kind of structure works best for the following situation.
1) Corp CEO is my father who is not involved in growing the corp but has run it for years
2) All directors are currently family members, some skilled others not
3) We currently have a succesful Wspace POS that is populated with only close friends and family members
We are involved with another corp that has a lot of new players that could benifit by coming into our Wspace operation. But that would require a complete restructuring of roles and permisions. This would also require going from a simple even split with the Wspace players now to something far more complex.
4) What system should we use to support say, 10-12 active miners to ensure a fair split of profits?
5) How do you support, fairly, those that want to only PvP against those that want to PvE against those that only want to manufacture and/or mine?
5) Should we just form an alliance with the corp we are considering merging with instead?
6) Should I just make a new corp altogether so our CEO still has what he has always wanted to have, a nice small corp to sell stuff under?
7) My wife is a web designer, so should we invest in a website?
These are big decisions that will probably dictate the path I will take in this game for years. I'm not a noob to running online groups and I understand how much a pain in the arse it can be.
***I am basically looking for either a pro/con answer or perhaps a description (as complete as possible) of how other successful corps are structured.
Thanks in advance, because these questions require a lot to answer properly! If it has a SAVE button...I'm not interested. |
