What is it? Being an industrial character, switching over to a combat character, i havnt done much mission running. I hear people talking about the Epic Arc. Is is a mission? series of missions? where can i find/start it? _____________________ **warp drive acti...wait, where are we going again?** Eve Online Guide ;] |

It is a series of missions (over aound 20 or so, mostly combat and courier) wich take you all over the place, and introduses you to the different factions. Recommended for new players. Not worth the effort for older pilots.
You start them by reciving a mission from any agent to leads you to Arnon and the epic arc. IIRC its called Humble beggings.
You could do them for fun.
And there is also a mean rat BC thats killing all the noobs in one particular mission. Hence all the deaths in Arnon.

Just did that. Took over 5 minutes to kill in an Ishkur with 5 T2 drones (and it was using a neut as well). Guess the newer pilots should fleet that mission.
As for it not being worthwhile for older pilots, there is one mission (before the aforementioned BC) where there are a bunch of Battleships (at least one had over a 1 million bounty) and a Nidhoggur which don't aggro you. Might be fun to try it out again some time with something a bit heavier than my Ishkur (and with a few more pilots) just to see what happens if they get attacked.

The introductory mission is Humble Beginnings. This has a single frigate which drops a report telling you where to go and who to talk to. Alternatively, just fly to Arnon, dock at the Sisters station and talk to the Sisters agent.
Be aware of your standings with the 4 main factions. The arc sends you through all 4 empires, and if one of them doesn't like you, they will shoot at you.

...you mean also....cause when you go to starting area there you have mission givers that will start with 1/10 mission if you complete them all (you get mostly skillbooks and ship here)they will also direct you to sisters of eve...btw epic ark missions are very boring :(

Will it give faction standings to all 4 major alliances, or just to Sisters of Eve?

It will give Standing increase to a few empire Factions and corps, but not much.

The only faction I got standing with was the Sisters of EVE. I even got a SOE storyline mission from it, because I did over 16 missions for them. I got standing with a number of different corporations in all 4 empires, but no other factions aside from the derived modifiers coming from the SOE increase. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Ohh, that Nidhoggur aggros you if you go close enough but fortunately only using Nosferatu. |

The Epic arc? No. It does not even give you SOE faction standing increase. Only the SOE storyline mission which you get towards the end gives you some faction standing increase (I think that is a level 2 storyline mission). |
