No! Nothing is going to happen. There are absolutely no Intaki separatists anywhere within the Federation nor will there ever be. Never have Caldari terrorists attacked in Luminaire. Indeed, Caldari terrorists could not even enter the system!
The idea of something happening is laughable.
*leave podium to the sound of a crowd clapping at gun-point*

Of course something will happen...the President didn't blow up the station and create the UDI for no reason. He wants to have unlimited terms. _________________________________________________

I didn't hear anything about him blowing a station up. but this does seem to be getting interesting.

A few months ago there was a suprise attack on a station that resulted in the station's destruction. The President, conviently, paid a suprise visit but was late and the attack was over by the time he arrived.
After that was the first mention of the UDI. _________________________________________________

If the cards are delt right (fixed) there is a slight chance of increased hostility here. I see it now, yes it's so clear! I predict a war in the near future. Hm, looks like internal strugles? Perhaps... So, he want unlimited term, eh? Sounds like a great guy.

The Gallente Federation is slowly evolving into an empire if the President gets his wishes. Somehow this seems familiar...

Quite. Someone at CCP has a subscription to cnn & and lack of imagination.
I predict that the Senate will vote down the proposal, but another 'incident' will ocour and the president will suspend elections as an emergency measure. It will all then decend into a limited civil war, Senate against the president, with each being backed by one of the other major empire factions.
What would be very cool is if this happens post shiva, ccp set up an NPC alliance (using the new shiva alliance feature) for each side to which players and corporations can join, thus allowing a huge war in empire for whoever is interested. As soon as ccp thinks there has been enough killing, they just declare one side the winner (i.e. by say having the president assasinated or whatever) and then dissolve the alliances - no more war.
Would be very cool roleplaying, and had a huge amount of history to Eve going forward. ------------------------------------------------

hmm interesting... mabe there will be missions were we have to go hunt down members of either party which would delay the answer to be given and posibly alter the choice.

jubba said it all... lets just hope it does drag the players into that war (the ones that want). i didn't think they would creat such a big thing like a war in the galantean federation since that would "ruin" alot of the npc trading ppl do, since u would predict comodities demand droping... but they can counter that with armaments going up? ummm interesting.

Edited by: Obfuscate on 22/09/2004 04:53:06 Edited by: Obfuscate on 21/09/2004 23:46:41 The president has every right to present a bill to the Senate. What is so wrong with what the President has offered? If you dont want the president to be reelected, dont vote for him.
It is still the Senate who decides wether the bill pass's. And it is still you the Gallente citizens who will vote if he gets to serve again in 2 years time.
Stop the doom theory's and anti gallente propaganda. There is nothing wrong with it, and he is not doing anything unlawful, or that goes against our ideals of our Federation.

Edited by: Renato Liand on 22/09/2004 23:52:00 If I've understood, the President CAN'T be reelected more than two times. And I don't want of a stupid president which uses of terrorism threats to insult the Senate president. Just let him read the constitution and go to hell, and if he can't read, come with me for a demonstration, blockhading the President Bureau in Parts !
