Easier solution: 1. Remove Concord entirely from Jita. 2. Make the 4CNAP destroyable.

As much as everyone complains about the notion... there is a reasonably simple solution to the "Jita problem".
Allow Interbus to provide NPC shipping and handling of market goods.
If you could post your wares in any station, and players within the same region could buy them and tack on a little extra for shipping... there'd be no need to ever visit a "hub". In fact, there wouldn't be such things as "hubs" anymore.
Look at the internet today. You can be sitting at your desk, ordering items from eBay or Amazon. Some of those items are from Japan, some from Africa, some from just down the street. But they all wind up at your doorstep, for a small fee.
Everyone thinks this idea will shut down Courier Contracts.
1) Courier Contracts are already dead. Charging 500mil Collateral, to haul 90k m3 across 25+ low/null jumps, for a whopping 2mil Reward...
2) S&H won't be "mandatory", and players will always be able to travel to the location themselves if they choose not to pay the fee.
3) Items already bought and paid for will still have to be hauled manually. Only Market purchases will qualify for Interbus shipping.
4) Standing Buy Orders will only apply to the chosen station. You can not place Buy Orders at various locations, and expect them to be shipped to your home base. You will have to arrange manual couriers from each location.
I think it's a great solution to the "Jita problem". |

I have 3 alts: which is my main?
I train them on a weekly rotation but play them as the mood hits; often, two get played on any given day (no, not simultaneously).
I do the same thing, and always have, so I never really grokked the whole main/alt dynamic that seems to make some people so angry. It never occurred to me until I started reading the forums that there was any difference, even what is clearly a player-imposed informal restriction.
The nature of skill training in EVE makes it a practical necessity that you use all three characters unless, you only want to do one thing in EVE, which to me seems like going to Baskin Robbins and only eating one of the 33 flavors of ice cream.
I have three characters, so tell me again, which is my main...? And why does it make any difference? |

Much better solution that will screw all market hubs, but make economy and trading more dynamic and challenging. It's all about population control... and spreading them out. There millions of ways you could think of.
For example... -Setting a limit on guests docked in station -Setting a limit on transactions per station -Setting a *dynamic fee for docking in a station -Setting a *dynamic tax rate for amount of transactions in a station -Setting some kind of docking pattern (line) where you'd have to wait to dock/undock if theres too much traffic to the station
* = Dynamic as in the more the demand, the higher the number goes up. So populated stations would have higher docking fees, and popular market hubs would have a higher broker/sales tax
