am i the only one irritated by the fact that people can ninja loot in high sec from wrecks you down in a war, and not get any agress rights on them unless its your corps wreck? i don't expect my loot to be safe, but it would be nice to have a 15 min timer

I believe the reason that shipwrecks belong to the ship's former owner is so that newbs won't get griefed by the players who killed them.
Like, "don't worry we won't shoot you again, you can come back and get your stuff" *BOOM*

Ninja salvaging has been thoroughly discussed here: ninja salvaging vs salvage theft
For future reference, using the search field would have potentially provided you with the answer far quicker than a new thread.

i do agree. what i would like to see is some sort of dual ownership where the wreck belongs to both the owner of the original ship and the person who laid the final blow.
either of those parties can take from it without aggressing anyone, but if anyone else loots the container, then they become flagged to both.
of course, this would probably require non-trivial changes to the existing ownership code, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
as it stands, i've advised multiple noobs to always ninja loot player wrecks when there is an opportunity. it's a good way to make a little money when an arbalest rocket launcher still represents a fortune. and the person you're going to become flagged to is probably still in either a pod or a clone bay.
this can of course backfire, but what's eve without the occasional heart-pumping chase? |

Why on earth would you want to waste time searching when you can just make a new post and ask exactly what you are wondering about? |

tbh aslong as your not on a major trade hub station 90% of the time your loot is fine.
On the trade hubs though you have about a 0.01% chance of getting the loot |

In this case, the desire to be the first to shout "Use Search Moron!" bit OP in the ass.
