Haha. Sure. Tracking-penaltied Null, good one.
How do you expect to Web a frigate solo in a battleship as frigates tend to be much faster then a BS... |

Actually,yes it is.
SBs are so heavily dependant on their bonii with their chosen damage type it is pointless to put in anything else no matter what your prefered prey is.
With sb 5 on a hound you get a 75% damage bonus to expl. Shields have a base 50% expl resist and 0% em resist. That's a 100% damage bonus with em. So even if they have no hardeners whatsoever, you're better off going with em over the native explosive. You're even more wrong if they're hardened against angels. Try again.
I suppose it "is" possible that you will find a Battleship ratting in low or null sec with a tank geared completely for NPC's available in his area, after all idiots are everywhere. But as a general rule ratters that survive in low or null sec have given at least a small amount of thought to the fact that they may be jumped, and don't focus their tank completely vs the NPC damage type.
I'll happily put it to the test. You name the low or null sec area and we'll both bring Hounds to hunt the local ratters. I will use Explosive and you use EM and we'll see who averages the better damage.

Which is all of them.
Lol no, no you won't but I have yet to see a fit put up here that can do that. Rest assured that there are sb fits that can solo pretty much any bs past a bonused light drone spewing domi a burst tank raven or one of those lulzehp monster amarr bs setups and even then its not a matter of not killing it but it take far too fracking long and backup always arrives before you even get them to half armor or cap out the burst tanks. Also the collective wisdon in this thread smacks of people who still think the new bomber is just the old bomber with torps. Its a far far finer beast of destruction than that and perfectly capable of soloing a broad range of well fitted normal targets. People need to actually buy one and go relearn2stealthbomb like the very successful Valadeya did.

After a month long pretty much constant use, I can tell you this
Stealth Bomber are extremely effective Solo ship Stealth Bomber are nice Gang ship Stealth Bomber are a blast in fleet fight
To be effective you need bomb launcher , it make 50% of the overall effectiveness of the ship
To be effective you need to go toward speed maximisation
To be effective you don't need or want rigs
Those saying you can't solo anything are wrong, they live in a EFT world where everyone as max skill, fit , and combat experience
The truth is , while extremely delicate, you can solo a lot with it
If you dont beleive me , my KB beg to differ http://puppetmasters.rowejob.com/kb/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=10057&view=kills

My ratter BS is full PVE fit in 0.0. Its not a matter of smart/dumb, its a matter of paying sharp attention to intel and local. |

Now instead of ****ing testosterone at each other on the forums over nitpicky eft crap what you need to do is one brings a purifier and one brings a hound then tag team everything in sight as the em damage instapwns the shields and the exlosive damage raeps the armor. Watch in glee as about any single target you could care to find be it pvp or pve fit melts like warm butter under a flame thrower. |

assault frigates can do it and have done it pretty often, even intercepters have been heard of taking down poorly tanked bs's. Only real problem for the stealth bomber is the enemies drones, af/inty might be able to fight off the drones but sb would have problems. But where the other ships wouldn't be able to get past the enemies regen the sb's shine with their massive dps. -----------------------------------

Watching a battleship try to shoot down my Nemesis is just loltastic, every damn time. Just sit back, laugh, sling a few torps til the fleet arrives on theirs, or just warp off.
Taking out frigates in one salvo is pretty good as one of my war-targets learned not to sit still watching the rest of my fleet.
