I'm fairly new Amarr pilot and I do not completely understand the ECM and Combat Utility Drones. I understand their functions of course; Stasis Webbing, Target Disrupting, but how effective are these drone types over their combat drone counterparts?
Also what skills will affect a Wasp EC-900? Will any of the jamming oriented skills in the Electrics tree have an affect on the drones?
To be clear on what I am thinking. I would like to use the EC line Drones in my future PVP engagements, but I am unsure of how effective they are and also how best to train to use them the most effectively.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help clear up some of my questions.
Thank you,

An ECM Drones' jamming strength is fixed at EC-300's = 1 EC-600's = 1.5 EC-900's = 2
And as far as I know, they do not receive any benifits from the Electronic skills |

This^^ Also if you want to increase your chance of a succesful jam fit a ECM mod in one of your mid-slots to increase chances. Multi works best unless you know the ship of the enemy then just use a racial one along with drones for some good fun |

Is there a big difference in using EC-300 lights instead EC-600 Meds, when you try to break lock?
I Śm try to decide with ones to use in my pilgrim. lights or meds ecm drones as a last resort...

Pilgrim has bandwidth and bay for EC-600's without any problems.
If these are your last resort drones, you'll want the best chance to jam the opponant.

OK, so my drone bay goes with:
5x hammer II (meds) 5x warriors II (lights) 5x ec-600 (meds) 5x goblins II or 2 hammer II and 1 warrior II (spare ...)

Unless you only fight solo always try to squeeze in a couple of RR-drones. The ceptor pilots will love you. |
