TO all the seasoned Kronos Missioners: Please give advice (and rationale if you feel so inclined).
Midslots: Afterburner? Cap Injector (L or M)? Target Painter? Sensor Booster? Tracking Computer (or two)? Omnidirectional?
Drones: (Man, having 1 Billion ISK BS with 75 bandwidth is just suxxor) 3 sentries/5 lights? Range Augmentor? Omni? (see above) Blow the drone upgrades off?

I currently run my kronos with the following:
4 x 425mm railgun 2 (2 tractor beams / 1 salvager) 1 x t2 stasis webber 2 x tracking computer (2 of each script) 1 x cap recharger 2 1 x large armor rep t2 1 x darkblood EAM 2 x mission spec hardeners 3 x mfs 2 x CCC2
assorted small and medium drones.
with my skills I am cap stable and have over 80% resists to missions spec damage.
I usually carry Cal Navy Antimatter and Iron ammo. (20 - 130km ranges with tracking comps)
The only mission I have issues with is world colide need to warp out a few times or bring along a friend. |

That's pretty close to what I have, but not quite.
Highs: either the above or 3*tractor, no salvager (if I plan to come back in a separate salvager).
I always have an AB fitted, that is just non-negotiable. Ability to control range / get to the next gate faster is absolutely essential. I also have a Gallente Navy web, it's cheap enough for the ability to get those /% cruisers orbiting at 18km (overload) without pesky maneuvering...
Rest of the mids switch according to the mission; the norm is cap recharger + tracking comp (tracking script usual, range script in cargo). If you need to tank hard, 2*cap recharger; this is for Worlds Collide, Angel Extravaganza extra room, Recon 1/3. If against dampers, sensor booster + tracking comp - usually tank is not a problem vs Serps.
Lows: LAR2, 3*MFS always. Rest 1*hardener, 2*faction EANM (multi-damage type missions, frex Angels, Caldari/Amarr missions), 2*kin+1*th hardeners (Mordus), kin+th+CPR2/MFS2 for Serpentis, 2*faction EANM+MFS2 for rogue drones, etc.
Drones are 3*sentries (Curators or Bouncers), 5*Warriors, 5*Hobgoblins.
Ammo: faction AM / thorium. I usually let the targets come to within 40km for looting, so AM is by far the most used ammo. For some targets thorium is absolutely needed, though (the cruise sentries in AE bonus room, frex).

Cap booster is mandatory for me, remaining 3 slots change according to mission. No point in an AB for Damsel etc. AB, sensor boosters, tracking comps, webs in the remaining mids.
I use sentries too, but no drone mods. I sometimes drop a tractor beam for a DLA. Would love an extra 25m3 to carry a flight of mediums too... |

What about reading the ship bonus? You are in one of the the two remaining ships (other being Paladin) that can field 90% webs. Fit two of those and you can stop about anything dead in its track so you can hot even something close with 425mm rails. I'd advice AB (MWD when they are finally enabled in missions), Heavy Cap booster II, two Gallente Navy Stasis Webifiers. -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

I usely use 3 Sentrys and 5 Med Drones + Drone Link to get 77km Sentry range. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

Edited by: Lentia on 10/06/2009 13:36:19 Thanks for reply. Ya forgot about web bonus! For Drones, does using 3 sentries only and without a Drone link, omni, or augmentator really do anything? Nice to see alot of pilots comfortable with minimal recharge. |

I used to use the cap recharger setup similiar to everyone else's but now use a cap booster setup and find it much better
4 x 425mm Rail - Federation navy antimatter 3 x Tractor beam (Group all he wrecks in 1 big clump, finish the mission and come back in a destroyer to salvage)
Gallente navy Stasis webifier (18km overloaded web ftw) Heavy cap booster II - 800's Gallente navy tracking computer - Tracking speed Gallente navy tracking computer - or 100mn Ab II or Sensor booster II
Dark blood large armor Repairer 3 x Gallente navy magnetic field stabalizer 2 active hardeners and energized adpative nano membrane or 3 active hardeners
2 x auxiliary nano pump II
For the most part you dont need to use the cap booster if you module manage the rep well, just runs it in bursts, try and keep your cap between 30-50% to do this. Or if you need to keep the rep running hit it when you get to 30% and repeat when needed. |

Edited by: Zo5o on 10/06/2009 22:02:13 Afterburner for the missions with long gates. AB is unnecessary otherwise; people will tell you differently, they'll say that mobility is key for a turret boat... that's a load of crap the way the missions are designed. Proper target prioritization (along with tracking mods) is all you need... as long as incoming DPS is not an issue, primary should be the ship closest to entering an orbit which will make it difficult to track. You should never need to kite in order to reduce angular velocity of rats if you prioritize targets properly and fit enough DPS. And if you fark up and do need to kite, you should be able to reduce angular enough even without an AB to hit anything cruiser sized or up in missions.
Oh, and you'll want AB and blasters on Damsel in Distress, as all the rats start so damn close and hell, it's just fun to fit like 1400-1500 DPS and melt Zor like a snowman.
Cap booster. Medium if you fit an AB, large if you don't. You have a huge freaking cargo bay, so use it. I'm sure you've already figured this out though since you mentioned it. But yeah, the advantage of only using a single module/rig slot for all your cap needs is ENORMOUS, as that allows you to fill your module/rig slots with damage, tracking, or range-boosting tools, all of which will increase your efficiency.
The rest should be tracking computers, and carry both types of scripts for them and switch out as necessary. Only exception I can think of is Massive Attack; you'll want a sensor booster fitted for this one as there's rats that start out 130km away. |

using 2x tracking computers w/ each script pretty much cancels the scripts out bud

If there's one thing to stress, it's that cap boosters are your friend. Why waste multiple midslots and rigs for a tank that's already hard enough for virtually any mission in the game?
Here is my setup:
Highs
4x 425 Rail 2s (CN Antimatter) 3x tractors (ball of wreckage salvaging style)
Mids
100mn Afterburner 2 (switch for web/sensor booster for mission) 2x Shadow Serpentis Tracking Comp Large Cap booster 2 w/ 800s
Lows
3x Shadow Serpentis MFS 3x Mission specific hardeners 1x Amarr Navy Large Armor Repper
Rigs
2x Aux nano pump (can be changed depending on how much tank you want)
Drones
I don't have sentries yet, but I carry 2 flights of lights and 1 of mediums. Use the lights to toast frigates and the mediums to help speed up BS kills (They sometimes don't even make it there in time though, so if you want sentries go for it).
I'd say don't bother wasting slots on drone stuff. The Kronos is all about guns and as you mentioned its bandwidth kind of sucks. Don' waste slots on something that's gimped.
Best of luck.

You don't use an optimal and a tracking script at the same time. Either you use two optimal scripts, two tracking scripts, a tracking script and an empty module, an optimal script and an empty module, or two empty modules.
You still want to carry 2 of each script for versatility's sake.

Okay I thought you were assuming that the poster you referring to used one of each script at the same time, which he never stated he did.
Looks like we're on the same page now.
