Nay, pressing a button and getting a readout on an entire solar system and everything in it trying to hide is g@y.
Work on an intelligent solution instead of these either or nerfs, you're computergame developers not conservative judges.
Why not let ganker corporations hold a vote from their docks whether or not my base should blow up and save them the bother?

I don't have a problem with it though I think it should require a skill and a module.

As long as it requires new skills & modules to scan, and there are skills & modules to counter, I'm all for it...
So whoever has the higher skills and or better modules, can find/hide better, etc... ------------------------------------------------ "for piece sakes!" |

What do you mean, yay or nay? This isn't a democracy -- it's a game. There's a difference. And before you start saying "But I'm paying! They have to listen to me!" -- no, they don't -have- to do anything; yes, they -should- listen and take notes. However, just because -you- think something is good or bad doesn't make it so, as the developers need to think not just of suiting the population, but evolving game mechanics so as to better suit their vision. We have to give a -little- bit of trust to the developers, y'know?
That said, we don't know -anything- of the mechanics of this. It may be extremely difficult, it may need lots of time, it may need modules/skills that will be farking rare and hard to get, it may be as easy as saying "YAR! THERE BE SAFESPOTS HERE!" and ganking the sods. -We don't know,- and as such I think we should hold -all- opinions 'til we -do- know more.

I don't know if death is as bad as some say either but I'm rather reluctant to die nevertheless...
Their trackrecord speak for itself, highways, R&D, the map. Finding people without any real effort in a system is very much all she wrote for those not wanting to be found. Therefor the let's wait and see option is only for your local blobsters.
Is there a countermeassure for the warpfield disruptors yet? I forget.

yay as long as...
- specialist skills are required
- specialist modules are required
- maybe even specialist ships
along with ability to filter range scans to look for pertcular objects like ships for eg for ice fields so you dont have to wade through a billion asteroids to see what your looking for.

POS's have to be by moons right? if so then Yay. If you were able to hide a POS though then I would say No to system scanning.
