They'd better put out 50,000 of each skill packs too on the first day of release because every man and their muppet will want one :)

Well if someone does by up all the skill books just wait a day or too and keep training those learning skills, Once the initial rush has passed these fools will then be left with hoardes of skill books there gonna have dificulty shifting.

Dr Caymus, sure hope for your sake the game last's another couple of years to get the benefit out of all that! lol
Doubt I will train them to that kind of level, 3 or 4 I'd say given that they will be a higher rank. Any more than that and I would need years to make up the difference in terms of training time lost for 'useful' skills.

I trained all the original learning skills to level 5 starting on day one back in May 2003. I've been training almost without interruption since then so I think I've seen some benefits from that.
I'm not so sure I'll be able to say the same about the advanced skills though. I would guess that they'd have a rank of at least 3 so I'll just be taking them to level 4 at the outset. I'll save level 5 for when I'm away on vacation, etc.
Has anyone worked out some concrete numbers for various ranks? |

Tuesday, October 5th: Singularity, the massive 3000 user Shiva Test Cluster opened with Shiva RC on limited content set. Tuesday, October 22nd: Fedo Fest in Reykjavik! Hmm especially as you're getting less and less benefit for your skill points. Assuming the new learning skills just increase attributes the way they do now then the higher the level of your attribute the less effect one attribute is going to have. For some people one attribute point may only have a few percent difference in training times.

Well, I could certainly use a couple of extra points in my 12 Perception...
And yeah, that's counting a basic implant and the skill at lvl 5. |

hey.. whats the chance on some details... like how much will the increases be per level. will they need all learning skills to be at5 before u can train any single advanced learning skill (primary secondary tertiary etc). if there is an advanced "Learning" skill will its bonuses be stacked ontop of standrad "Learning" skills bonuses? (does that even make sense?)
i dont fancy having to train bloody empathy to level5 just so i can train the *important* skills.
waaaa details info now now now gimmie :D :D

my thoughts exactly. Maybe an increase with 2 attribute points per lvl would be nice, especially towards the new players. (or my "power of two" sibling )
