Ok fine at least I have my answer. Not happy with it but at least I have one. What does having a BPO mean that you get a free cash cow? So this takes eve tech 2 down to the level of a dice roll. Having a tech one researched BPO does mean something it means you can produce that item and yes people are making quite allot of isk just selling ammo I would not call that didly. This game IS about competition not about a welfare check for the lucky. There are middlemen in the game allot of them heck I am guilty of marking up items for resale because everyone does it. Because tech two is so hard and time consuming to manufacture it takes away from the game by making the end product really expensive. People end up spending more time on getting the items and working to get the items. Most of us log on to play a game and not work for the lucky people with all the shiny Tech 2 BPOs. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

There needs to be restrictions on the number of bpo's, plain and simple. The 'lottery' is the only system in which the devs can both control the number of bpo's ingame AND not be personally involved in who gets what blueprint.
I am one of those lucky people. I have made billions off of tech two. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

Then, how would you react if everyone was able to get the same tech II prints you have. Before you made billions off them?
The reason I have made billions off of it is because I had to work at it like a regular job finding tech 2 components hauling them buying at the right price. It was allot of work. I would have made more just selling ammo. I felt bad about the high prices I charged in the beginning but I realized that production was slow and people would resale it at a high price. Honestly I have nothing to gain by having this system changed but in the end I feel that it diminishes the gaming experience of the people who all play the game. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

Originally by: Discorporation No, the reason you made billions off them is because you could ask whatever you pleased for the items.
If every man and his dog had the BPO, you wouldn't be able to ask what you wanted, because there would always be a clueless person right around the corner, undercutting you every time. Eventually, the isk's you get for the items would become the same as what you get for Tech I items, min price (plus component price) plus 8-10%.
Here we go with the percentage figures again. The 8-10% figure is just wrong look at the bpo(s) then look at any market. You will notice that it is just a wrong statement. Go ahead and put your product out there for 8%-10% markup ill buy it when the market ore prices fluctuate and recycle it in to a battleship. That argument is irrelevant to begin with because of the components required in tech 2.

Here is the deal in the end the game is a fantasy. People will remember the bad times allot more then the good times. More work = less fun. For work I have a job for fun I GAME. When people go to a movie (for the entertainment) they don't go to watch a movie about working. There is a whole NPC universe out there set a demand by them for products and goods. We are the rulers of this universe not the workers for it. If I want work ill get another job and make more money then I can here. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |
