How do you get T2 salvage components? i.e. Capacitor Console, Intact Armor plates, Trigger Unit
I guess these are dropped from T2 ships, but they are needed to build the T2 ships. Can you invention them from T1 salvage?
I just dont get where they come from?
I am new, please explain. Thanks

They're salvage from T2 ships afaik.
They're needed to build T2 rigs, which can be invented from T1 rig bpc's

You get them from Faction spawns and Salvage complexes, Eg Shadow Serp, True Sansha, dark blood, Dread Guristas, and also Sentient Drones.
I've also seen them in 4/10+ plexes.

T2 player ships give them up.
0.0 Mag sites give them up
Faction spawns.
If your bored, look for corps at war in Empire and head to battlesites where there has been recent action...You'd be surprised on how many people don't salvage the wrecks.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I like the idea of salvaging the shipwrecks of corps at war in empire space.

Especially getting a rogue drone faction spawn is usually a payday, compared to other faction spawns (which feel kind of nerfed too much). Had three of them salvaged so far, BS sized, first one dropped 50m, second 70m, third 110m. That makes it well worth doing drone anomalies/plexes in 0.0, no idea about empire tho.
Edit: What I forgot to mention... The main difference in faction rats to faction drones is, that drones use to drop 5-10 pieces of salvage, whereas normal rats only drop 1 thingy at all. Officers are a nice source of T2 salvage too, but their salvage is of lesser interest tbh. |

Yeah good advice.
My first big score as a salvager was stumbling upon a high sec battlefield littered with T2 wrecks.
You can earn quite a good chunk of ISK or gain some valuable rig components this way.
