Well, I mostly do npc-hunt and agent missions, but I would like the ship to be capable to defend itself in tight spot. |

There is not that much difference between Arma and Apoc, really (well aside the fact that Apoc is Armas's bigger brother). Arma does more damage, while Apoc is a better tanker (while still doing great damage). If you need a battleship for agent mission go with Arma as it is cheaper.

There is not that much difference between Arma and Apoc, really (well aside the fact that Apoc is Armas's bigger brother). Arma does more damage, while Apoc is a better tanker (while still doing great damage). If you need a battleship for agent mission go with Arma as it is cheaper.

the arma is ok but requires high levels of skills to operate well. its limited power and cpu mean u will be hard pressed to fit 3 hardeners 2 l reps 7 mega pulse and a smartbomb. and all the caps recharge stuff u can get.
it can be done with lvl5 in engi, elect and elect upgrades. u will also need uber caps skills as its caps r lower.
the only good things about geddon r its ganka fit out and larger drone bays.
the apoc is far more verstile it can fit every setup u can think of and has 2 missile slots where u can put cruise for anti ceptor work.
the apoc is still far better.

If you're mining to get the material, do yourself a favor and get enough minerals for the Armaggedon first, then ask yourself if you want to do it all again in (insert your ship here) for an Apoc.
Unless you have patience by the truckload, I'm betting you'll prolly say "F-this" and get the Arma. But look - you're not a loser in any case: they are both great ships.

The apoc is better overall, though probably not the 40mil price tag difference better.
The important thing though, the geddon is a lot more fun to fly. Not as fun as the crusader, but hey, you have to have something to earn the isk in.

Go with the Apoc.
I say this because compared to the arma, it does everything better. Tanks better, mines better, npcs better, pvps better(unless you use a gankageddon)
To me the extra isk is well worth it because the huge capacity and powergrid differences.

gankapoc can beat gankageddon, 1 extra dmg mod doesn't do much and apoc can fit another gun, which is 14% more dmg. Also you get another med slot with apoc, a gankapoc that can tj as well is one of the most annoying to have to fight. Then apoc has much better cap, sheild armor and structure, so 1 v 1 or in fleets, gankapoc are better than gankageddon. |

think you forget the rof bonus on the arma which the apoc doesnt have.

Quite wrong, a gankgeddon can outdamage a gankopoc. That 20-25% ROF bonus applies to each gun, it adds up quite a bit

Armageddon, cheaper, more drones to kill off inty NPCs, more offensive power, and it can tank almost as well as the apoc.
