I think I go for armageddon, since it's cheaper and still quite versatile. |

The Armageddon does more damage, but can suffer in long battles as it can run low on cap if you're not careful.
The Apoc's massive cap reserves make it the better choice for sustained operations.

Ive had both Arma and Apoc. For level 3 missions the Arma wins hands down, it also wins if you are doing light (non-0.0) NPC hunting and its a very good miner. Cheap(ish) too. Main benefit is the faster speed, 2nd fastest BS after the Typhoon, and the nice dronebay. Worst characteristic is the 3 medslots and the lack of any launcher hardpoint. And the ROF bonus is really noticeable. Pretty easy to setup, very nice grid.
Apoc is raw power and durability, excellent for 0.0 NPC hunting. Best miner in the game and with the right skills the most survivable bs. Worst characteristic : the sluggish movement (compared to Arma). Easy to setup due to the mega large grid and nice slots.

Yea, I think helmut here summed it up nicely. Both ships become very different as you go up in skill level. With BS level 5, the apoc's cap is so massive it is a tank which cannot be equaled. Whereas the Arma is still just as fragile, but can do obscene damage with those low slots and that rof bonus.
