Not really a big issue, and I wonder if this isn't just flaw by design of the api, but: Yesterday I plugged in several +3 implants into my char, thus reducing my skill training times significantly. Skill queue in game updated it on the fly but the skill planner (charactes sheet window)did not update it for a couple of hours. I quit the api program and restarted it to check it but still it wouldn't display the correct training time left. Haven't checked today yet since I'm at work now.

It took a little longer to update, when I logged in again it was ok.
By the way, is there any wat to setup another account? or is it restricted to just the one?

I must say that my alt character has some faulty calculations as well. A skill which in game says it last 11 hours is 1d2h according to the program. If I check in the skill planner I sometimes see it over 100% completed. For the rest it is still a fantastic program, it helps me alot in planning my skills and the occasional faulty calculation doesn't really bother me, since it usually corrects itself after quitting the app and restarting it.

Originally by: Flammard I know it will say >100% completed if the skill was training but finished some time in the past and the character sheet hasn't been refreshed, if that is what you are referring to.
I've had a skill in the skillplanner and the training queue on the character sheet saying it was at 173%. Refreshing the char sheet didn't fix it, neither did loading my other char and then my main char again.
Quote:
Where are you seeing these faulty calculations? in the character sheet, the skill planner or both?
In all the screens that display the skill being trained
Quote:
Is it a skill that is being trained, has been partially trained in the past or one that has never been trained?
I don't have partially trained skills so all new ones. It only does this with skills that are currently being trained.
Quote:
And you say it fixes itself up after you restart the program?
This is the behaviour I have seen yes.
With regard to you other question, I currently have close to 5 mil SP on my main char and just over 1.6 mil SP on my alt, so no this does not happen for new players only

Edited by: Blasphemour on 17/10/2009 09:37:18 Just found out that if you go to preferences and change something in the skill planner option, everything shows up again. if this was already posted, sorry!
Edit: Thing that is still kinda bugging me, when I close the app and relaunch it, it thinks that the skill I'm training only just started. For example, I am training Caldari Cruiser IV now and it has about 23 hours to go. It shows this on the character sheet as well. But in the training queue and the skillplanner it shows it has about 4 days to go. If I knew how to make a screenshot (macbookpro? anyone?) I would if needed ;)

OK I might be out of the loop a bit, but did you take the import/export function out again?

Hi Flammard,
Great to see another update! Program keeps getting better and running more smooth.
I asked a question a while ago, didn't see a reply yet, so here it is again: It might have been that I missed something, but did you remove the importing and exporting of skill plans? I use this option quite often, and suddenly it was gone.

How do I get the app to replace my old portrait? Do I have to delete the character and re-create it? or is there a portrait in a preference folder I can throw out?
Thanks for the great work!
I have kind of this problem. My main works fine, however, my alt still shows the big exclamation mark as a portrait. Tried to throw it out, restart the app and set it back up, doesn't work |

Attribute remap/optimalization would be nice but isn't a must from my POV. Would be nice, but since you only have 1 remap a year (or 2 for a new player) it isn't super important.
I'd love to see the ship fitting tool, have been looking out for a decent one for a while :)
Thanks for the great work Flammard, really appreciated :)

Hey Flammard, thanks for the heads up ingame
I just downloaded the testversion, runs fine and I finally have my second account portrait in there. Tried importing evemon skillplan, says it can't read it. I imported it before on my mains account and worked brilliantly then.
message is: Error importing plan The plan couldn't be understood Or there where no skills to import
Tried a few different plans, willing to share if that helps

As far as I know it never did that, it adjusts when the learning skill finishes and the API is updated.

New release runs great, however, I'm missing one of my favourite features again: Importing evemon skillplans. Did you take it out on purpose?

The feature is already implemented since a couple of versions. Only one thing you have to aware of. You have to export the EveMon plans as xml. The emp format is just a serilization of the Windows objects which are useless on Mac.
I know it was implemented, because I have had contact with Flammard when he was putting it back. The thing I faced on the last update is: it's gone, hence the 'missing one of my favorite features again' :)

I'll make it even stranger, the options just popped up again... No worries then, me happy!

I don't really have the time or motivation to keep working on Mac Eve Tools for now. I don't play eve on a Mac at all anymore and as a result I've stopped using MET. While I understand it's useful for a lot of people, developing it consumes a lot of my spare time.
I've published the sourcecode here on github for who wants to play with it or develop it further themselves. I'll keep maintaining it to work with the latest expansions or additions CCP make, but for now it's dead in the water.
Shame you can't continue it anymore. Many thanks for all the effort, I still use the prog almost daily, has made my EVE life alot easier.
