Question from a newbie to moon mining
I understand that Silos only hold one type of mineral, do harvester arrays only mine one type? So i would need 2 harvesters and 2 silos to mine 2 minerals? |

Not having done moon mining I could be wrong here, but AFAIK each moon only has one mineral, so its a moot point. unless i'm wrong. then not so moot.
i dunno, i just came for the cake

I've scanned moons with 3 minerals. Not sure if one harvester would mine 100 units of each (for 300 total) or if i would need 3 harvesters to take advantage of said moons |

You need a diffirent silo for each mineral. Also gases and R8 moons are rather pointless unless your manufacturing something. Actually most every moon is pointless unless your manufacturing something. |

Edited by: feffrey on 14/06/2009 05:28:12 A harvester can only harvest one type of mineral and a silo can only hold 1 type of mineral. If a moon has 3 types and if you want to harvest all 3, then you will need 3 harvesters and 3 silos. Also when setting them up, make sure they are both anchored, and properly linked before you online them
If you haven't setup a pos before, I highly recommend setting one up in the test server. Easy and cheap way to try out stuff and figure out any problems etc.
Some moon materials have a good market for them in jita and whatnot, so if you can haul them, you can make isk. |

I've noticed that simple reactions on gases can break even but still scanning for R16+

No. If it doesn't say 0.3 or lower in the upper left corner, then you can't anchor a moon harvester. The game is entirely intended to be played with no knowledge of truesec. |
