Actually i can have the feeling to be a real pilot, i mean, i'm not crazy, i know i'm not, but listen...
Let's consider myself as a real pilot, real life is 'my walking in station', i go wherever i want, i do whatever i do, i work to pay my pod-pilot license, etc...
When i turn my pc on and connect to eve online, i'm connecting my self to my pod, and then i enter the universe to do... well anything we, pod pilots, do.
Walking in stations will change this, i'll be simply a player who turn his pc on and run his game and see his alter-ego walking and talking for him.
I'm not saying that 'Walking in stations' will be bad or good, i'm just saying that it will change my vision of the game.
Now it's your turn, if you wish.
What do you think? What is your vision? |

I think it's a good idea! I saw a video on You Tube where a character actually walked in the station and I was wondering if I can do that in Apochrypha.

It is a feature I will likely not be using because :
1. It cannot make me ISK.
2. It can only cost me ISK.
3. It will likely include emotes which are just dire.
4. It does not add anything to the game.
5. It is fluff designed to make kiddies go ">:3 Want" while disregarding all the bull**** CCP has failed to fix. |

Uhh.. I don't actually care that much personally unless they introduce a gambling mechanic, which can make me isk, then I am all for it. To all the people who spout the "They have issues that need fixing etc..." This is the engine for their next MMO, so they would be using other people anyway, so we get ambulation for "free" if you will. Also, I want some Minni sunglasses

Why don't you read up on the subject more. All the resources going to making walking in stations are from the white wolf MMO they're making. It has NO impact on the regular eve online team. Its just another added in feature we can get without it drawing manhours from the regular eve online team. |

Why should you have to stop playing EvE, travel to the game location, and dock up to gamble?
Why not allow people to gamble from anywhere while doing anything? I can start a factory job or put something on sale remotely but I can't play poker remotely? Umm I can do that today. Right now.
Why exclude the miners, pirates, merchants, haulers, or whoever from gambling?
Gambling would be a Good Thing (tm) for EvE but in no way does it require ambulation. In fact it would be worse with ambulation.

I think it's a feature I'll use because
1. I will make out isk out of it (set up bar, build clothes, sell drugs by hand)
2. I can spend isk on fun stuff
3. It will include a risk like mini game which should be fun.
4. It will add a whole new dimension to the game.
5. There's strippers....

This is a game where you fly out and pew pew...granted in Wow u can fly hack and pew pew too...but not the same.

I see no problem with walking in stations. in fact, it reminds me a lot of SW: Galaxies early on. Going to a cantina in station after a hard day of ratting to gamble and drink your way through your hard earned ISK sounds like a hell of a lot of fun to me. Also the fact that this wont adversely effect space ship PEWPEWAN and will open up new markets to make money in...
I see no negatives.
You can cry "boohoo they aren't making new space content waaah" but you know what? they just did with wormholes. and you know what else? Welcome to the same story in every MMO ever made. Devs make something, people ***** that something else isn't made. Devs make something else, People ***** that another thing isn't made. So on so forth.
THIS IS A GAME, ENJOY IT, HAVE FUN WITH IT! If you aren't then stop playing and stop being all hugely negative. Its a real downer.

I just posted this elsewhere but it is because they are not releasing walking in stations anytime soon that I am letting my subscription lapse. I may be back when they finally release it but until then I am going to do other things. It was this promised feature that actually got me to subscribe in the first place.
