Edited by: Quartex on 17/06/2009 14:01:11 tl;dr summary of my last 3 years in game...
>BoB won a couple of PVP tournaments and they were very good back then. Play the vid of them finally being beaten by Star Fraction to "feel" the relief that it was possible to best them! >They used their influence and diplomacy to encourage people like MC and pets to project power against perceived threats.. >They attracted the best from the Alliances they humbled >Delve 1 was probably the high watermark of BoB power and effectiveness when, after collapsing back to Delve they "lasted" the siege of NOL/PR >But then they failed to innovate, they didn't keep up with game mechanics and proved very beatable on their well advertised Max campaign. >One button Hargoth pulled out the rug but old BoB would still have prevailed .. people thought on these forums that they still would. >Something special had been born in their failed assault on the NC homelands in the north and in the scramble for Delve, post Hargoth, this matured with Goons/PL and NC having a shared goal and exhibiting remarkable co-operation to oust what had become Kenzoku. >Truly, Sir Molle motivated his enemies as much as his own and the passion to prevail, looking back, was un-stoppable. Whether it was the accusations of CCP favouritism (leaked emails), cheating (T20/T2 BPO's), or tick tock postings on these Forums, I have never seen a MMOG dominated by such a dislike for a Clan. >I am looking forward to a proper assessment (From someone in Kenny) of what kept Kenny from taking the initiative more than once..seemingly allowing -AAA- to take centre stage in terms of numbers and aggression. I suspect their leadership became dulled, they certainly seemed leaderless a lot of the time compared to an admirable level of energetic/offensive FC work on our side.
>Well, Kenny still have 2517 in Alliance and 15 Corps... many aren't logging in, but when they do and providing there is a leadership prepared to lead they may be back in some form. Perhaps some WH action, or a high profile domination of Factional Warfare to rebuild confidence? All those Titans need a home somewhere.
>I am incredibly pleased we have prevailed but more than that, thanks to BoB/GBC for some brilliant gaming times. You have made this game the fun to play it's been, giving me the reason to log on each day.... don't hang up your pink hats just yet.... see you in space! |
