Is there anyway to deal with these? If i take from can will many ships uncloak and proceed to totally own me or is it just 1 pilot that can shoot me, will i be flashy red to the enire corp of the can?
Could i take the stuff then quickly redock or will i get an agression timer. |

You'll be flagged to the corp of the can owner, providing he's in a 'real' corp, not an NPC one. To figure out how many people there are in local from that corp clcik info on the can, then select the character, from that select his corporation, then click the standings button and set the corp to some negative standing, doesn't matter how much.
Now scroll through local (it'll only update after being scralled back into view again or after resizing the local window). You'll know how many of them are in local.
You can nick from a can and still dock, it doesn't give you a session timer. |

It will largely depend on what you're flying... But generally speaking the best way to deal with them is to ignore them.
If you steal the can, he can shoot you. But he's probably just going to be a tackler or something, and then his buddies will undock and kill you. And most of the time there's absolutely nothing of any value in the can. |

Eh, "it depends" as with most things in EVE.
Personally, I've found that 90% or more of the "targeted" cans (e.g. "want T1 cruiser duel") are legitimate. The generic ones ("cookie jar" or just good old "cargo container") tend to be dropped by gangs that are camping wartargets that aren't coming out, and want to increase their chances of getting to shoot at something, at least. Chances are you'd get destroyed by multiple ships if you were to take from one of these, but as usual check how many corp members are in local (often they'll all just be sitting outside the station; there's probably one in a Falcon, cloaked).
Oh, and if there are any neutral logistics ships around, especially if they're parked at the "back" of the station, there's approximately a 500% chance they'll get involved and rep the guy that engages you. Which can be a good thing if you both think you can beat the guy fairly comfortably (and quickly!) in a 1-on-1 and have the range to reach the remote rep ship (Scorch L is great for this). If the second doesn't hold, you'll probably never break your target's tank; if the first doesn't hold, there's a good chance the remote-repper will dock where fired upon and come back out 45 seconds later in a combat ship (worst-case scenario, a logi Domi which can still keep the other guy alive, while doing decent damage to you at the same time and having a ridiculous tank). |

You can always try it in a spare rookie ship. They're free to replace, so it's no big loss to you. Just don't carry anything that doesn't come on it standard and you won't lose anything. Plus you get the 1 Trit if it gets destroyed.
As a bonus, you'll know whom to avoid/kill in the future.

I got a true sansha tag from a can once.
Most of it's worthless, but hey, it's free stuff. Grabbing it in a shuttle or rookie ship is a great way to **** people off too.
