Aur is definitely nontransferable. And if you can transfer isk, its a large incentive for console players that haven't played EVE to make an account to supplement their Dust character. That is just a round about way a free to play game can make more money for CCP.

Without more to go on it is difficult to tell, but the per-match ISK earning isn't exactly what you would call "amazing" ... I have a feeling if anything the flow of cash might be the other way around.
