Drake > Myrmi for lvl 3s
HOWEVER
Domi > Raven for lvl 4s, while you move from raven to cnr to golem with caldari, with gallente you have the option of going
Domi with 2 reps ---> Domi with one rep and some guns ---> Domi with shield tank and 425s You can literally get it to do over 1k DPS once you've learned to fly it well, and to give you an idea of how easy lvl 4s are in a domi: I made an alt a while back, and she was flying lvl 4s on her own in a domi before she even left rookie chat (which I'm pretty sure means she had less than 1.8million SP)
Domi is also a better pvp ship ^_^
To summarize: Stay in your drake while training for a domi, once you can fly a domi go run some lvl 4s. |

...Yeah follow this guy, lets be in a drake, train for domi when the raven is perfectly viable for lvl 4's and for pvp. Pick one line honestly at the start, and cross train later.

Even if he already has missile skills, it will take him less time to get into a domi that can run lvl 4s than it would for him to get into a raven that can do it, and the domi is much more forgiving to a newb than the raven is. |

Drake = Amazing passive tank... With field purdger mods and 3 BCM, this is your lvl 3 and 4 mission boat. Not alot of SP required to fly well and can be damage specific which is perfect for all but drone missions.
Myrm = Post nerf, mostly PvP boat. It is just as good as the drake in lvl 4s (albeight requires more managmenet) but has an active tank and meh drone bandwidth.
Where the myrm shines is PvP and possibly Lvl5s: lots of lowslots = amazing shield tank (Boat with T2 passive shield stuff and two invuls = 1000DPS recharge rate PASSIVE). Ever heard of neut Myrm? Sniper/Blaster Myrm?
You have to sacrifice tank to PvP in a drake where-as you dont really have to in a Myrm.
Cliffnotes:
Drake = PvE (Isn't that all the caldari is good for :stirs the pot:) Myrm = PvP |

For some reason being able to switch drone types and hit all kinds of targets good seems cool
I could really use advice on this :)))
I haven't run missions in a while, but, I started out in a drake, moved to a myrm, then a domi, I still rat on occasion in a raven.
Anyhow, I kinda liked the drake better, due to the myrm's sorta limited bandwidth, and, that missiles don't zoom over and shoot the trigger while you're not paying attention to them. However, the myrm probably does a good bit more damage, or, you can fit it to loot / salvage on the way. Also *felt* like the drake was more solid, tank wise at least. |

Domi honestly barely takes any more skill than a myrm. It isn't even that much more expensive. I think I got one for like 60m or less. |

I disagree with this almost entirely. The Myrm can sport a passive tank that rivals the Drake for PvE, and the only management required lies in keeping the drones away from spawn triggers (which is about as much, or even less, work required than using a Drake).
Myrm also offers far more flexibility for PvE since it can be set up in so many ways: active speed/armour tank; PST; with or without hybrids/projectiles for both short and long range; utility slots galore for salvaging on the go or exploring or just keeping stuff alive. |

Your quoting skills are terrible.
Passive shield tanking is a possibility for a myrm, but it doesnt matter how good the tank is, both passive shield drake and myrm or armor tanked myrm have no problems tanking lvl 3 missions.
And a raven can also be used for lvl 4 missions with low skills. |

It matters if you're in an L4, which was the issue I was responding to…
His saying that the Myrm is as strong as the Drake but has an active tank implies that he has missed out on the Myrm's strongest tanking option, should it ever be needed. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

When you first start running lvl 4s your domi's guns will only be used to get aggro from the rats. Hell you can fit civilian guns on it for all it matters, you just warp in, aggro everything, launch drones and watch money pour in =P
Fit it with 2 reppers, 4 hardeners and a damage control, cap rechargers in the mids and some CCC rigs, you'll want both of your capacitor skills at IV (energy management and energy grid operation) as well as drones V and drone interfacing at III (as well as the ability to use large armor reps and armor hardeners)
From there you should be training skills in this order: (these are skills that help out, but you will be able to run lvl 4s without them)
Gal BS to III drone interfacing IV heavy drones IV Skills for tech II armor hardeners and reppers gal BS IV tech II ogres |

I'd definitely train t2 sentry before t2 heavy for missions. There's really no contest there.
