how about making a t3 hulk that can use 5 or 6 strip miners for us miners who want that little bit more also would be nice if u could respawn the amount of ore better than it is now as every day i mine i end up with belts with like 20k of ore in the roids and its just not enough please try for much better respawns and a better ship than the hulk for mining in high sec and maby the orca with better mining bonuses would be nice to might make mining more bearable lol

6 strip miners!? do you know how fast you would go through belts then? and the ship would have to be huge to accomodate all the ore, so, if you are looking for a carrier-sized monster that costs in the billions, go for it.

Now that more and more Titans are destroying ships wholesale, there will be a greater need for minerals. That requires a better mining ship, and nulsec needed one anyway.
Although I can appreciate the ambition of 6 strip miners on one space frame might make the more timid among us nervous, in the right circumstances it could even make sense.
To hedge against an overly negative reaction, let's start with 4 mounted strip miners and the cargo capacity to boot? How would that strike you.
I would prefer a space frame that looked a tad more modern than a Covetor with a different skin. Otherwise, go for it!
Changing the composition of the roid belt seems capricious. You have to make the switch from one roid to the next. It's a hard life, I know, but that's why you're a miner and not one of the fancy fly boys who couldn't aim a mining laser at a potato if it would yield them a T2 blue print.

There is need for a proper low and null sec miner, I might support something like that (And a mining revamp to make null and low sec mining better period be a huge margin) ---------------------------------------------------

Nobody cares if that would be really a carrier sized monster and has the same requisites like a carrier or costs billions.
Paying around two billions for proper defense and jump capability seems around right to me.

allow the rorquel to fit "capital strip miners" which would required the industrial core to be active to get the bonous to mining amount, this would keep it out of high sec and most of low sec and allow 0.0 mining to be done more effectivly |

My suggestion(I have no name for it):
xxxxx - Realizing that Miners across New Eden needed an even tougher vehicle in which to mine with in the lawless depths of space, ORE decided to take matters into their own hands. Top mining excavation experts collaborated with ORE to create the xxxx.
Mining Barge Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level. 7.5% bonus to all shield resistances per level
Exhumers Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level 5% reduction in Ice Harvester duration per level
Excavators Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to cargo capacity per level 7.5% bonus to velocity per level 3% reduction to Strip Miner duration per level
Role Bonus: Able to equip Strip Miners and Ice Harvestors
Low(3 slots) - For MLUs and maybe a tank module Mid(6 slots) - enough to put a semi-decent tank on High(7 slots) - Only allow 5 strip miners and have extra slots for whatever else like a cloaking device or a tractor beam. 2 Rig slots Cargo Capacity(unmodified) - 15,000 M3
Requirements - Exhumer 5, Excavators 1, Advanced Spaceship Command 3.
Drone Bay - 100 M3
Velocity(unmodified) - 30 m/s
+2 Warp Strength
Excavators Skill - Skill at operating Excavators. Can not be trained on Trail Accounts.

Omg have you guys thought this through? i mine too in a hulk but can you imagine macro miners in these things? its bad enough as it is now. i agree with the orca suggestions though a little nip and tuck but hey.

not in highsec.. otherwise.. sounds interesting. make a brother to the rorq. or follow the suggestion someone made for allowing the rorq to mine. Absolutely everything is subjective. |

Thats quite far from the concept of a Barge, capable to mine in low and nullsec, also the Training time is far too low. It could easily used to mine even more Veldspar and therefore simply replace the hulk in most highsec belts. The Excavator should have primarily defense-related skills not skills to mine even more. It has already got enough yield due to the increased number of strip miners.
Rather this:

I could see that being good but id still change it slightly. I'd more follow along the lines of the rorqaul's ship bay,so...
XXXXX --- Seeing the need for a Miner capable of withstanding the severe punisment found in lawless space, ORE's top scientists outdid themselves with a Masterpiece destined for nullsec.
Excavators Skill Bonus: 7.5% shield booster boost amount per level 10 % bonus to drone hitpoints and speed per level
Role Bonus: Able to fit Strip Miners Only Able to fly in Nullsec Only
Prereq: Exhumers 3 Mining Barge 5 Exhumers 5 Advanced spaceship command 5 Shield Management 5 Drone interfacing 5 Navigation 5 and then other stats look good

I is been here hundred times. Solution is real capital mining ship not just "industrial command ship" and problem is solved. Capitals can only fly in lowsec and 00. And just the same skill you need for rorq and maybe exhumers on lvl5 that sound fine. |
