i'd like to set up a small pos in high sec, not for any special purpose, but to have experimented it by myself.
as far as i've read, i will need 5.0 standing towards the needed faction to anchor a tower in 0.5 systems.

so far, i do a lot of L4, but i don't want to get into negative standing, with any of the 4 major factions, so i reject L4 vs Faction as well as storyline mission.
As far as regular carebear missions, your faction to the state e.g. Caldari State will only increase during storyline so you best accept them when they come if you ever expect to get a POS
this means, i can't raise standing this way.
i've read, that interbus is kind of neutral faction, and doing missions for them, will slightly increase all standing.
Not worth it, the agent spread is too small and the return too little
so now my two questions:
1. is personal standing enough to anchor, or does it need to be corp standing?
Corp standing (in pretty much every sticky and guide)
2. How long/How many missions would it take to raise my personal/corp standing to 5.0 and what neutral faction should i do the missions for ?
(interbus ok, or are there better with more standing gain,or better agents?)
Figure anywhere from 0.03 to 0.10 for storyline so ~200 missions for Amarr, but since the corporation is the average of all the people... ymmv. You could join faction warfare, plex, get promoted = Amarr standing, but you're still part of a corp
for your vague calculations, my standing personal standing to amarr is 4.5 and my corp standing 1.2
i know, there are way to buy standing, i know, i could temporary kick corp members or stuff.
but if i can't achieve it by myself, without touching the corp and in a reasonable amount of time, i'll just give my pos experiment up.
Yes, give up the experiment up in all honesty. Fastest way is to get an alt, buy a corp with faction through the forums. There is even a one-stop shop guy.

If you don't have the isk to do data centers or cosmos or buy a corp for an alt, then give up the experiment
