The Parable of the Good Minmatarian
And it came to pass that a Minmatarian was cruising his ship through the less frequented systems in Genesis when he was hailed by a stranger.
ôPlease, good Minmatarian. I need your help. I have been set upon by bad fellows. I have lost my ship, I forgot to renew my clone and I find myself destitute and without funds to pay my way home. Please help me.ö
Now, the Minmatarian was about to cross to the other side of the system, ignoring the stranger, when he suddenly decided to stop and converse with him.
ôThough you are an Amarrianö, (for such was the stranger), ôand your kind has solely troubled mine in past ages, yet we are brothers in our capsules. So, yes, I will aid you this time with a gift of isk and transport.ö
ôCome to my humble abode only a few systems away and I will furnish you with a new fully equipped Rifter that will bear you as fast as the wind to your heathen home.ö
The Amarrian was overjoyed and poured forth his thanks to the Minmatarian, praising his goodness and charity above all the others that had passed him by, even fellow Amarrians, in his time of troubles.
And so, the pair journeyed to the Minmatarians home and there he made good his promises to the Amarrian. The Amarrian was greatly pleased and vowed that he would repay the Minmatarian as soon as he could. And with a cheery wave, the Amarrian went on his way.
The Minmatarian gave no more thought to his charitable actions until some weeks later he was surprised to see the Amarrian outside his station.
ôGreetings, oh good Minmatarianö, said the Amarrian, ôI have returned as promised, and I bring you a shining new Jaguar to replace the Rifter that you so kindly loaned unto me.ö
And the Minmatarian was greatly pleased and said, ôCome, let us put aside our ancient hatreds and join together as friends. We will name our Corporation, ôUnityö and journey amongst the stars together as a shining beacon to our races of what may be achieved when Amarr and Mitari work as one.ö
And so, the pair joined their hangars and vowed eternal friendship.
The Amarrian said, ôCome my friend. Share with me these bottles of Quafe Ultra Special and these Exotic Dancers that I have brought from distant Kador.ö And the two friends did drink, dance and cavort throughout the whole night.
The good Minmatarian did wake in the morning and was sorely ill. He looked for his friend in his home station but could not see him. But he was unworried, knowing that the Amarrian had vowed friendship and they would mission together later in the day.
ôI will take out the shining new Jaguar that my friend has gifted to me.ö So he went to his new Corp's ship hangar to enjoy his friend's munificence. He was puzzled when his hangar was empty, not only of his new Jaguar but his other possessions as well. There were no signs of his humble Slasher or his trusty Mammoth. His fleet of speedy Rifters were gone and even his Probe was missing. The Minmatarian was shocked and looked through all his hangars. Where were his precious BPOs? What of his secret stash of antique Python mines? All were gone.
And there was great wailing, cursing and gnashing of teeth as the Minmatarian realised what had become of him.
ô A curse unto you, Amarrians. I will search to the ends of this Universe and even unto the next. And I will slay every Amarrian that I do meet until the end of my days and to the extent of my fortune. And I will beget many sons and daughters and I will tell them of my tale so they, too, may follow this path.ö
And so the ancient tale of Amarr and Minmatar was continued and renewed as it is ever fated to be.
