Recently I've been to many new systems, either to buy items or to find a new home. I've found many of the systems to be very nice to look at in terms of their ''spacial makeup'', and wondered if anyone has a particular favourite. Off the top of my head I'm quite a fan of Flost; makes a change from the usual harsh red or blue tones on Minmatar space. Any other sightseeing suggestions?

New Eden in Genesis, home of the big-ass wormhole the game's named after. Pity that A.) It's low-sec, and B.) Dead-end and completely empty, making it more a tourist attraction than anything else. Still, it's worth visiting once. |

Any other interesting tourist attractions out there?

I took my pilgrimage to new eden yesterday, it is awesome! I mean, the sky moves and the wormhole is bigger than the systems sun! Take a shuttle on the way there so you dont get caught, but once you are there new eden is generaly empty, making the portal to our ancestors all the more awe inspiring. |

Complex agent sites in and around Nakugard. The Gate in Nakugard that leads to Hek. Surroundings of Krusual Tribe Bureau in Hek (also shown in Clear Skies vid). The shine of the glowing red in Egglennaert on Amarr hulls .

I think I might pay a visit to New Eden sometime. Not very far from the Amarr systems where I usually hang out, but I'll wait untill I have a better ship and skills and perhaps found someone else to come along.
A tourist attraction in low sec ... seems like the perfect place for a gate camp
Anyway the second mission I did with my Amarr character involved doing some mining in Emrayur. The astroids for the mission were located in the cloud you see surrounding the system, with some ruined structures floating inside it. I loved the view as everything was light and it seems like you were flying through the coulds rather than just in the darkness of space. After that I've never managed to end up in a similar location . You can't just warp off into nothing so I don't know how to reach those clouds without any mission pointing there.
While I think EVE looks great, it is a little bit dark and if not there is an erie red or blue glow in the background.

A while ago I used to warp to all of the moons in various systems (in high sec). The first moon of a planet is often close enough to the planet that you can get a screenshot with two large bodies that appear to be closely orbitting each other. And it's a bonus if there are rings, or those lights on the surface, or the lightning strikes.

Quite a response, thankyou all. Nice to hear I'm not the only person who's visually stimulated, I expected to recieve all sorts of flak after posting, but I suppose this is something a little different. There's some new places on my itinerary, that's for sure. Hmm, I wonder if my corpmates would be so supporttive if I told them ''system aesthetics'' was part of the agenda when choosing a new hq

Just a little warning for anyone thinking about going to see the Eve Gate.I went there earlier this morning and at the jump gate that takes you into the first low sec system there is a camp waiting for you at the end. |

don't know about any hidden station but it was criminal when CCP chose to remove secure cans from the system. Just isnt the same without the numerous "x was here 03/05/2004" and the can rings heading several thousand KM into the system
Also on topic I remember seeing screenshots of a system with constant tornado like formations in the background, it's not the cloud ring. Also can anything be seen of the blackholes in the relevant monument systems?

Maybe the cans affected performance in the system? While I've never been there (yet) I agree. Without cans like that it would just be another system, altough a little bit pretier.
Anyway I don't understand why it should be low sec. I would have thought the Amarrians would secure the systems, being religious and all they must have seen the huge phenomena as a sign of whatever god they believe in. Their homeworlds are also nearby and according to the lore they are expansionists.
On topic, I just visted the Amarr homeworld, I like the warm colour of the background. It is a bit crowded though.

Edited by: Janu Hull on 30/06/2009 16:48:11 My first trip to New Eden, before the cans were removed, was awesome.
I took my alt back after the graphic update and while the gate is pretty, the lack of cans fails pretty hard.
As far the the prettiest system, the view from the undocking port of FAT-6P is pretty spectacular.
Also, on the pipe from Orvolle out to Cloud Ring, you jump into a system (begins with an L, something obnoxious and French) and you're at the fourth planet, a big beautiful Earth-like planet. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

Not sure if it's still there, but in the system 'dead end' next door to new eden there was a black monolith from the film 2001 next to one of the moons (cant remember which one, think it was p5 m5)
