I have bad credit and now i don't have a bank account. Is there anywhere in the UK that has a shop to buy EVE time cards with cash? I live in the West Midlands.

i work in game and the only time cards you can get in store ( out of box) is warhammer and world of warcrack.
the only way to get a GTC from GAME in the uk is to purchase the box and which i think is is 29.99 in store the last time i checked :)
if you see out of box GTC in a game store please let me know as i will accidently transfer them all to my store and then buy then all ^_^

I think i have found a solution. In eve payment options there is 'PayByCash'. And this in turn is supported by the UK's 'PayPoint' network. Basically i selected PayPoint method. This gave me a page to print with a barcode. I have just taken this to a local newsagent which is a PayPoint and given them some cash. The transaction should clear today giving one of my accounts a new subscription |

I doubt i can get a bank account again with my credit rating. I thought NatWest let me set up new one last week. It all went swimingly at the local branch then i get a letter saying 'oh actually cos of your credit history we are shutting the account down'.

All banks *must* offer you a basic bank account regardless of your credit rating.
However, chances are you won't get a debit card which makes things a bit complicated for you.

Why would they refuse you anyway, when it is a bank account where you can't have a negative ammount on? And if then all banks would refuse you, how do you pay for the electricity? Water? Rent? Where does your boss/goverment send the money to?
And if you have a normal bank account you can use paypal. |

I live in a housing association. I get housing benefit and pay cash for food and utillities. My broadband connection is paid by an another who i pay back. I said to the bank i want no credit or overdraft facilities.
But my previous HSBC account was shutdown due me to me tying myself in knots with one echeque payment for a ebay item to which the supplier said do a bank transfer instead. The supplier canclled their end of the echeque transaction but i didnt realise the bank end of the echeque was still in process. This created a cascade effect in bouncing my HSBC account several times in the red. HSBC did say in one letter they had waivered fees but 2 weeks letter they seem to have changed their mind and shutdown the account.
So the only reason i wanted a bank account was for paypal and hopefully to get a VISA debit card. But now i am exploring alternative facillities such as PayPoint.
I owe my creditors a lot of money. Regulary get aggressive letters from debt collectors. But it only costs them 20p to send this letters and beyond my PC and cloths i have no assets to liqudate.
Credit can be an insidious trap. Its wanting that 'next better thing'. And it end up spiralling in credit card and loan debt. I did get a handle on it in 2007. And had all my debt consolidated into one loan that would be paid off in 5 years. But my life started to fall apart then and since i have regulary been through the sh*t grinder.

Actually you can set up a bank account, it won't have any priveledges but it will work. Royal bank of scotland definitley do one for anyone anywhere, so look into that.
In the mean time get yourself a pre-paid virgin card. These are just pre-paid debit cards, classed as mastercard for transactions so you can use them anywhere and you can top them up with cash at the local corner shop or post office :)
